    assuming he signs I can see him being made captain if Colo goes.
    He lifted the French League championship last year so knows how to lead a successful team.
    Just a thought as Taylor is often injured and Defenders are often favoured for captaincies.

    Hopefully his arrival will both encourage Colo to feel more positive about being supported on the pitch and make him more amenable to wanting to find a solution to his current problems, other than leaving, so.......

    What are you on about, it's all Williamson's fault don't you know. It was him that made Santon and Gutierrez play like cardboard cut outs whenever Reading played it over the top to Kebe. It was his fault that once they were turned they got nowhere near to getting back to him after being turned in the lead up to high goals.

    Santon can do no wrong.

    Keep your hair on. I've yet to see Santon simply miss the ball anywhere on a field, let alone when defending a dangerous cross yet being in front of your man.

    Wonder if the Santon issue is a bigger one, given we're still linked with a few fullbacks. Santon the new Bale?

    Really? He simply missed the ball when Nasri walked past him for the first man city goal, and simply missed in when he stood rooted on the post for their second.

    I really rate Santon, but I he has been woeful defensively at left back this season. He should maybe be pushed on, or played on the right.

    Does he always try to dribble his way out of defence? Looks prone to being tackled in dangerous positions. And like Willo, a lot of those defensive headers seem to go straight to the opposition. If that's his best 3 minutes of play then I'm not convinced. Happy to be proven wrong IF he signs or us.

    Santon is one of the worst full-backs defensively that I have ever seen. I cannot believe how many times the ball is played in beyond him. He's like my next door neighbour trying to park their car...no spacial awareness!
    He's canny going forward though, maybe playing him on the wing would suit him better.
