You have Lloris trouble again OS. BTW TMT it is possible to criticise a player and still rate him. I'm sure Lloris would be the first to think he should have done better as will Walker.
Whats this "The conditions were not good" ?. LDL. Aren't you guys from 'up North'., Where the men are men, and the women are manlier.
Good mention of Walker as I haven't seen him talked about this evening. He was out of sorts last weekend at QPR which was disappointing given his recent return to somewhere near his best. Today on their goal he was back to his old habit of too much ball watching and not enough awareness of what his man was doing. There's nothing wrong with close analysis of why we conceded a goal, even after a decent performance and result, and if that involves one or two negative comments on the way, then that's the way it is.
Probably because we feel it was a moral victory. We dominated virtually the whole game and had it not been for some smart saves by De Gea, and some poor finishing by us, you would have gone home with what you deserved - nothing.
Yes you're right Spurf. I didn't see who wrote the post,I just read it and gave a general answer. I'm hugely grateful for what he's doing for us and I'll repeat it was in no way intended as an argument starter.
Walker had 2 unmarked United players behind him and one of them scored..........and he wasn't even "on the post".......he may have saved the goal......but I guess he was playing his own game! Has Defoe started to go through another bad patch,I wonder?

bigsmithy9, he's been in a bad patch for a while now haven't you noticed? One in nine is a bad patch to me and I wondered whether he'd maintain his early season form. He goes through these bad patches. I went off him when he missed that sitter at Man City when we came back from 2-0 down to almost win it at the death. He cannot be relied upon to win big matches for us and it's time he skedaddled.
Wasn't only Walker,Dawson let Van Persie get away from him, instead of going with him,but then Walker should of picked him up,and Dawson on to the other Guy
Naughton should have picked up Cleverley and the cross from which van Rapist scored would have never come in.
I don't think we should be too hard on Walker. Yes, he " lost" RVP, but then he's hardly the first defender RVP has done that to. It's why he's one of the best ( the best?) strikers in the world. Hopefully, Walker will learn that you can't go to sleep for even a second when strikers of that class are around.
Take the point NSS, but I think the concern about Walker is that this type of error has been a feature of his season. Yes, RVP is a top striker, but that lack of awareness of opponents positions around him has cost us dear this year so far - I would estimate that is now 6 goals that can be directly attributed to him. What is disappointing is that he seemed to ne recovering some form and hopefully this slip will not set him back.
Let's hope that this season is the start of other similar seasons against Man Utd and we won't be so elated at taking 4 points rather we'll start taking it as a matter of course.
Yes, it's definitely the downside of his game. His positional awareness is not good. Unfortunately, for him, strikers of RVP's class will invariably make you pay.
As could be expected, the reporting this morning is all about Baconfaces comments about the lino. Having read and heard what he said, I do not see how that does not constitute accusing the official of bias - and as such, he should be facing disiplinary action. (Thats Fergie, not the lino!!) However, I for one will not be putting any money on action being taken.......
