When Pochettino starts having a go at the guy asking questions, I'm pretty sure he says something about his mother's genitals, to put it nicely. At 0:47 when there's a big laugh.

Kelvin speaks sense!

 

Kelvin says what many of us have been saying. A difficult choice has been made and we should all be grateful to Nigel, but important to get behind the team.

I love the way the Mirror refers to him as the Southampton cat.

 

Cortese genuinely doesn't give a **** about anything other than doing what's right for the club. And for that he has all my respect.

I don't really care about Adkins career at Southampton anymore, what he did is irrelevant now. Although he is a great person and I would like to see him have every success as a manager. Hopefully he'll be managing in the premier league next year.

It is said that when good leaders leave the group suffers but when the best leave the group continues to improves. I think Pochettiono's Southampton will continue to improve.

 

As in Peter "The Cat" Bonnetti. Remember him. Gosh they must have a really old journalist working for them but one who tries to be trendy with kid speak like "club captain and leading glover" and we're meant to take this guy seriously?

 

Glover...what a truly terrible term. I like the term 'cat' applied to SKD though...I have a picture of a grizzled moggie with a torn ear that still manages to catch mice.

 

I imagine its easy to say Carry On Without him when the 'Him' dropped you in favour of not one, but two other keepers!

 

Spokesman from the LMA will be on Sky later talking about Adkins sacking. I know they will be on Nigel's side and other managers in his position, but, unlike other jobs, at least you usually get your contract paid up, so effectively the contract has been honoured. Of course, nothing compensates for hurt and disappointment.

 

Ha, thanks Fran - your battered cat analogy with Kelvin made me laugh, and at the moment any laugh is a good laugh ! Cant imagine what tonight is going to bring at St Mary's - i hope for much like Kelvin but at least a good send off for Nigel, and then down to business.

 

We need to be singing "There is only one Nigel Adkins", followed quickly with "We've lost our Physio, we've got Mauricio".
