I had Sea Bass, pan fried in butter, lemon and capers.
Served on a bed of baby vegetables, Arhhh.
Followed by morello cherry sponge and vanilla custard. Yum

Hubby's cooking just gets better and better, or maybe he thought it was self preservation time, knowing the result from the game., and sensing l was not a happy bunny lol.

Still no beer for a week now.

Wow, that sounds very nice, I'm getting the impression that none of us females on here do the cooking. <laugh>
Lots of guys are interested in cooking, probably due to the popularity of cookery programmes, you do find that most men do have a signature dish though that they like to 'whip up' usually a curry or such.

We both love to cook and take turns, Hubby mostly cooks at the weekend and l do the rest.
He has developed into quite an accomplished chef, so lucky me
Our signature dishes would most probably be...
Medallions of Pork Loin with white wine and mushrooms
    Moroccan Tagine. With CousCous
Sea Bass or any fish really, being a North Shields lass, it would be a poor excuse if l couldn't cook fish and seafood !
I have Jamaican relatives, so also do a lot of Caribbean dishes, if l can bet the ingredients lol
We don't have many no shows when we have dinner parties, so l guess that means the food is good.
    Wine cellars not bad either

My signature dish would be inner breasts of chicken wrapped in lean back bacon with cubed potatoes, sliced carrots sprinkled with crumbled stilton and covered in chicken stock and braised for just over an hour then placed on a bed of steamed broccoli!

The stilton is the master touch! <ok>

My signature dish would be Egg Mayo sarnies with wild rocket and piccolo tomatoes with a side of Worcester sauce flavoured French Fries crisps.

My signiture dish is what I called Welsh Breakfast Surprise. I always make and serve it if we have foreign visitors, which weirdly is quite a lot. The Swedish seem to really enjoy it, the Germans not so much. A Slovak girl just seemed confused...

Basically, its a massive fry-up sandwich, but its very specific. From the top down, it goes:

    White toast
    melted cheese
    Fried potato slices
    fried egg
    two bacon rashers
2 sausage, cut in half lengthways
    hashbrown
    brown toast
    potato slices
    black pudding
    bacon
    sausage
    egg
    melted cheese
    white toast

Also optional are: tomato slices, any sauces, chicken slices (actually really good in it) and mushrooms

It ends up about 5 inches tall, and virtually impossible to eat...

My cholestrol seems to have gone up just writing about it...

Just a run of the mill mixed grill to do tonight for me.

Not sure what my signature dish would be.
Although fancy tarty cooking tastes ok, I don't think you can beat a proper 'home' type meal.

Proper pastry (made with lard) on pies, proper suet puddings etc

Homemade cod and chorizo fishcakes tonight. Patatas Bravas. Spicy tomato sauce.

    It was fantastic.

My good lady hates cooking too, leaves it to me, so I'm now suspicious as to what price this meal has come at!

Looking at this thread becomes more depressing every day...

I had soup from a can this evening... And I burnt it somehow... Didn't even know you could burn a liquid, but yeah... It's possible...

I need to find me a man who'll cook me some of these wonderous creations!
