I think if we have to overcome a 2-goal deficit or bigger from the Bridge it will be game over, but we really need to come back from their place on even terms to stand much chance of getting to Wembley. I would give us a 20% chance of getting through.
me i would say 50/50 but agree we must not lose the first game by more than 2 goals. I think we will score at the bridge anyway and that will go in our favour...cant wait for the game myself and a first for me to see us in the semi's in this competition..
All of a sudden the tactical shinanigans about resting players, varying tactics etc comes to an end as we can conentrate on the Chelsea game, field our strongest eleven and devise a strategy on how to maintain a 2-0 goal lead. Personally I think we should play our normal game. I don't think Chelsea will, as many expect, come at us at 100mph because if they do we can pick them off. Here's to a great evening on Wednesday and to some normality in the coming month - unless we get to the Final that is!

play like today with short inch perfect passing and we should go through. Play like we did against the arsenal with long passes that get intercepted and to many back passes then chelsea will score enough to go through with the superior team they have....Ill keep on saying it....play to our strengths and do what we do better imo than anyone in the premiership...short sharp quick passing going forward as we do it.....
We only conceded one goal against Arsenal and the same result will see us through to the Final. Hopefully Arsenal will run Chelsea ragged this afternoon, while we have our feet up.
If we play like we did at Arsenal then we will go through, they only beat us 1-0 In Laudrup i trust for this one, im sure the players will be mentally prepared for it, my worry is a performance like against Boro not Arsenal, wanting it too much and not being relaxed is worse than having an off day with the ball. We are about to see the most tense 90mins in the clubs History, not including the Hull game. It is the game the players can fulfil all their dreams and make themselves a part of History, the fans will have a massive part to play on Wednesday,with the jack faithful in full voice and a decent non cheating ref we have a good chance. I get the feeling the whole country would like to see the Swans in the final, this is a massive test, Swansea city V Chelsea (european champions) for a PLace in the coc Final ...it really is crazy times and we are all probably still in dream land since the first game of last season!! its mental to think how far the club has come .
I agree that it's going to be extremely tense and a huge 90 min....we really are in dreamland The Arsenal performance was shocking at times and even though we only lost 1-0, if we play like that again against Chelsea we could be toast by halftime. It's going to be interesting to see how we line up. They might be expecting us to sit back, defend and try and hit them on the break....like recent performances. I have a feeling though that we might just call their bluff and go at them aggressively to try and kill the game off ASAP....so I expect quite an attacking mind set from us. That said, we need to be on our game from the off passing wise, as we won't e afforded the space stoke gave us, allowing us to build some rhythm. Watching Arsenal v Chelsea now gives me hope that we will get through. I just just need to figure out how the hell,I'm going to watch the game from a conference in CA

You must think that we will stop every team with that amount of chances...well a little secret we wont.....chelsea scored two early goals against the arsenal today and that has to be a warning that we have to play far better than we did against them...Its not over by a long chalk and we cannot afford to play any long passes unless is in the final third to send the ball through to michu or danny. short sharp passes is the only way we will stop chelsea from seeing to much of the ball that will give them chances to score....They will get enough chances anyway without giving them lots more chances and thats what they will get if we play like we did against arsenal.....
We didn't have our full side out you clown! If you wan to analyse our performance against Arsenal then analyse the away game in the league which included our strongest available side. valley stop being bitter kid you will do yourself an injury.. all im saying play like we did against arsenal and because of the nature of the game chelsea have the players to put half a dozen in the first half against us...we cant do long balls, we cant do long passes even. If you cant see that then you really don't know much about football and the way that gets us our best results.....Mind you you really have to be there at the liberty to appreciate that and not watching from your armchair....

Though I'm surprised you have had the opportunity, given your head is so far up Brenda's @r$e As for the way we played against Arsenal in the FA Cup, we adopted a similar approach during the 1st leg at Stamford Bridge and came away victorious. As I have said, stop with the negativity and get behind the team.
