Agreed Nev. I wouldn't tell anyone what I earn unless they asked. You get folk out here and all they talk about is daily rates, bonuses and all that ****e. I work then see how much money I've got to blow on drugs and Xbox games when I'm home. took me about ten minutes to work out my monthly wage too, ****ing SAAS ****s are raping me for £500 a month just now.

i asked my boss for a pay rise last month and he said that the only reason i wasn't made redundant last year was because i get paid so little

When I first quit Uni and was in between that and going offshore I worked at Argos as a delivery monkey. I did 18 hours a week and got about £100 a week. I had no home so slept on my mates sofa for 18 months. Can't imagine going back to that now. The amount of times I bought a carry-out with small change was ridiculous. The local Spar put up a sign saying "We do not accept more than £10 in small change"

If you work for a decent offshore company (Not a bunch of charlatans like me) then you get loads of benefits. My mate works for Nexen and gets free CineWorld unlimited pass. Free gym membership. They've given him about £40K worth of stock over the last 3 1/2 years too.

I get **** all. My work will match up to 10% of my annual salary into my pension so I just put £6k in a year.
