Obviously Rooney has been unlucky with injuries and hasn't been able to put a run of matches. But it seems with every passing year, the influence of Wayne on United has been waning. We have been able to count Roo among the best in the world since the 07/08 season though obviously, he had to play second fiddle to CR7. But since the latter moved to Madrid, Rooney has been our main man. The matchday squad without him just lacked that something. Berba came, Chicha came and they delivered sporadically, but Rooney remained the constant. But since last season, his presence in the matches aren't like they used to be. He scored quite a few goals last season but Rooney, as we know, is not just another striker. He is much more than that, the fulcrum, the lynchpin,....... of our team. And now that RVP has come and become an instant success, it is definitely hard to tell if Roo is the first name on the sheet. Chicha has stepped up his game as well and is more of a goal threat than Wayne. So where do you folks think lies the future of our Wazza? Are his best days behind him?
I have to say i think this year is a blip, i imagine next year if he can stay fit he'll be right back up there. I think that the presence of RVP will spur him on to play better, and take some pressure of him as was the case with Ronaldo around. I think he enjoyed being the main man when Ronaldo left and had that great season scoring a lot after Ronaldo just left, but i think at the same time his game is changing, he is no longer required to play up top as much due to the options available, but there is a lot more competition for his place due to RVP and Kagawa ariving so he is no longer an automatic pick regardless of his fitness, which is great for the team, but it might take Rooney this year to get used to it, but really this year the injuries have hampered his season
I'd like to think it is so. When Roo is in song, he is unlike any other player in the world. He has that ability to lift the team, literally.
What a numpty. The Premier League market it everywhere outside England as the EPL. That's too most of your fans. Dickhead.
I still think Rooney is as good as he's ever been at the moment. He's always been a player who needs games to be seen at his best, and it's been a stop start season due to injuries. Every time he gets going he picks up another injury. Rooney doesn't strike me as the sort of player who looks after himself when he's not in training though, as quite often when he comes back from long lay offs he looks unfit, and dare I say it over weight. There's even been pictures of him smoking a few summers ago. Man Utd pay him alot of money to play football, so I do feel he needs to look after himself more when he's not playing. He reminds me abit of Ricky Hatton, as he never looked after himself when he wasn't training, and eventually it caught up with him. I hope the same doesn't happen to Rooney, but I do fear that Rooney will start to decline once he gets closer to 30
Who gives a **** what they call it outside of the uk? I don't go to other countries and tell them what to call stuff. ****ing idiot.
