My Skybox lets me play at a half speed so the Beebs speeded up version gets reduced to the superb goal it was
I am a bit gutted can't go to games really. It sounds like we are REALLY onto something here. Is this really happening? Still, the table shows we still have work to do.
Yep, I remember that, was comedy gold. Let's hope someone can dig it up, I had no luck searching for it...
You weren't far off NNW me too! Deeney said in his interview that he wasn't going to let anyone else take it and that he is the penalty taker..must admit, i'd rather Vydra or Abdi...! Brilliantly said. it was! So, yesterday was great fun! I was there with Dan in the morning, shovelling snow, and i must admit, the supplied sausage and bacon baps with tomato soup were well worth the effort . It was great fun bantering with other fans, i met one from the supporters team who was lovely, and a few others i'd seen before but never chatted to. The excitement levels for the season were high, and everyone was talking playoffs. By the end of the game, there were people talking about automatic promotion...what a great time to be a Watford fan! As for the game, it started slowly, and it was pretty level pegging for most of the first half. The penalty was an obvious blow to Huddersfield though, and when they should have felt determined to fight back during half time, they were obviously very deflated because they didn't get a look in in the second half. Battocchio totally deserved his goal, he played exceptionally well, and what a goal that was! Omg, i keep watching it and just...beaming! It was a thing of beauty! Vydra's two, in comparison were rather ordinary, but who cares, he's scored another 2, has 16 for the season, is 6 behind the season's championship top scorer...and i hope hope hope we manage to sign him up! Nobody had a duff performance, and a special mention to Forsyth who played very well and didn't seem out of place in the team at all. Bring on Forest...i can't wait!
From the commentary yesterday, Almunia brought off a stunning save which had it gone in might have changed the game a bit. Seems from afar that he has rather more cracking saves than errors on his record this season.
Yes...I tihnk it was from a flicked header. He is a very consistent solid and ofcourse experienced keeper.
Have to admit, I wasn't too happy about Almunia coming here (to be fair, my biggest complaint was that we were signing him without also bringing in competition). He really has been magnificent, both as a keeper and a stand-in captain.
PAY ATTENTION OLDNICKHORNET!! I have just seen the penalty incident again on hornets player (proper highlights) and the challenge seemed to happen outside the area. The ref got that one wrong, as well as allowing Vaughan to remain on the pitch.
Personally I reckon the defender was on the line when he fouled Vydra - and as we all know, at corner kicks, on the line is in - so why shouldn't it also be in in instances such as this?
I have watched it and think that it was a very close call. That was the sort of decision that can go either way. From the commentary yesterday Vaughan did sound very lucky to stay on the pitch
I might be wrong, ask Fez, but I though the line was in. But I think the first contact was outside and the momentum carried them both in. But thats just me.
Vaughan was an utter thug...he should have walked...so if the pen wasn't a pen, and i'm not convinced it wasn't, then they still got away with not losing a player. Bless the ref, first Championship game and he almost lost complete control over that incident, the lino had to come and give him a hand!
We made front page in the FL Paper - which meant I received some glares at Cardiff Central train station when I was reading it while waiting for the train to Southampton. Glad I read the description of our 4th before watching it on the FL show when I got back here.
