    If things stay the same:

At the same stage last season (after 23 games) Arsenal were 7th and 5 pts off 4th. We are currently 7th and 6 pts off 4th. They were also 12 pts off 3rd and ended up finishing 3rd in the table.

Not sure why its so crazy/impossible, personally. The likelihood is that it won't happen but there is a chance of it happening. Especially if SAS keep up their superb understanding and scoring rate.

  4. My opinion would change if we got Sneijder but I don't see that happening either, obviously I hope it does.

I feel the need to point out that this has escalated somewhat, I was merely taking the piss out of Enricky wanting Man Utd to win, something that is extremely rare for a Liverpool fan. Nor did I ever say I wanted Tottenham to win for Man City to close the gap <ok> I actually want a draw, Jenners clearly agrees too (#1252)

  5. They have got into the CL for how many consecutive years? They have experience and better players too.

I never said the players shouldn't aim for fourth either! Hell, our manager wants second! <laugh>

On our form, we don't look like getting 4th, but it's not just down to us, other teams are just as inconsistant and look like dropping points as well.

4th is a target for this season, and it's not unthinkable, just inprobably. Until it's impossible, we'll keep looking at what's inbetween us and 4th. Our team is strong, our squad is weak. If we avoid injuries and pick up some consistancy now we have more than one goalscorer, we've got as much chance as anyone. 6 points isn't alot.

And I'm not the only want who wants them to win, it's not as if I want them to win all their games, just this one as it keeps things tight for fourth.

  8. Fair enough <ok>

As I said, I was only joking around originally and it's escalated. Not helped that I've had a full blown argument with the mrs at the same time <laugh>

Lol: yeah I'll stomach a united win with RVP & 2 others sent off for buggering Bale on the pitch! That should get us both; catching Spurs & United lose the title! And Bale gets prison sexed in from of a TV audience....

No worries, we both just want what's best for Liverpool.

I probably made it worse, I'm feeling a bit ratty. Don't know why - I'm probably on the blob <ok>

Watched Tottenham a few times lately and they really have a hoof it up there tactic. Fair play to Everton and them for being where they are, playing like that.

Big point for Spurs that. And a small glimmer of hope for Man City.

Ferguson - "The linesman had a shocking game"

Wonder if he'll get the same sort of punishment that Fat Sam got when complaining about the ref last week <whistle>

Just need Southampton to do us a favour against Everton and would have been a good weekend.

As usual a classless ungracious whinge by Fergie.

Its the linesman's fault. Big bad Spurs kept hoofing it into the box boo hoo...

Nothing to do with two games in a row they've tried to sit back & timidly hold on to a lead, nah! It was the linesman "giving them nothing all day" (he's not suppose to give you anything, he's suppose to officiate the match, unless of course you've done something to expect being given something eh?

Did he really say that? Shocking.

Wouldn't mind the new Southampton manager getting a thrashing though, so either result is good on Monday.
