I was of the belief that Scandanavia comprised of Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden...
We had this conversation on here before at some point, and it turns out that Scandinavia, by the strictest definition, is Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Iceland and Finland are often included simply because of the geographical location and cultural similarities (though the Finnish actually have a lot more in common with Estonians than anyone else), but they were never politically part of it. It'd be more accurate to refer to the geographical area as the Nordics.
But that's just if you're being a pedantic smartarse.
