Shaw was the one player he mentioned by name during the interview. He couldn't have failed to notice his potential as he has been watching videos of Saints. He is a believer in youth and brought 20 academy players through at Espanyol. He was shown shaking hands with Shaw in the video....Luke, bless him, will have so much in common with a suave, intelligent Argentinian. This relationship will be imprtant as we intend to keep Shaw. Sky reporter said Shaw was signed on a 5-yr contract, but sadly untrue.

Some are clearly just gonna take time to get used to it. To be honest, I have accepted it for what it is now. Not happy with how Nigel was treated in any way, but Pochettino deserves our support as he is in 'our boat' as it were.
The team have recognised how hard the PL is, perhaps they hope a new manager will help them do better. The best players will have confidence in themselves and be interested to see how this guy could help them. A few of the lesser players will know they are at risk and may up their game. Purely supposition, but how do we know that NC hadn't picked up vibes from the players. They won't all have been happy campers. Nicola has done this because he thinks it is the right decision,,,he won't have done this out of spite.
I never said that they weren't behind him. I only pointed out that no-one is going to let their true feelings known if they aren't. Like someone else said, of course they will back any incoming manager. They are professionals.
