The CL whilst being a great tournament, isn't always won by the best team. It's a knockout competition after all, and as you know with Liverpool 05, abit of luck in a one off game can result in a very average team winning that competition, but over 38 games in the league you cannot get lucky every week

When JM took over Porto, sporting were the best side and won the league back to back. Both sporting and Porto had the same number of titles around 18, but JM turned Porto into the most dominant team in Portugal. Do you know nothing about your own club? Do you not know that United defeated Benfica, who were the best club side in Europe in the 60s? They reached five finals in eight years.
