That's what it looked like to me. They all worked hard, hustled, didn't give in, kept chasing. Got a little bit out-paced in the 2nd half, but all in all I thought we looked a real team, finally. Arry really has done some magic with the team, I can see that they believe. I really enjoyed today's game: even though we barely got out of it with a point, we didn't cave in at the end.
See your point about closing down but second half we were completely over run and gave the ball away so easily. Could have been 4 or 5 if it hadnt been for Cesar. Cant say I enjoyed it - right down in the bottom left corner with an awful view as the stand is not pitched high enough. Spent some of the game looking at the TV screens.
Well I'm sorry you couldn't get a good view on the game. I'm just trying to stay positive. It's a new year. A new start. We're looking good so far. No losses. But I'm realistic as well, and that's why I said we barely hung on. We did alright.
I like your spirit Yappy. Upton Park is a ****e ground. A point was good considering the circumstances. The away support has it too easy at HQ. It must be the best ground to watch an away team.
But teams like Man U or man city get through some games not playing well but picking up the points. And in the championship when we had our winning season we got through games but just winning, not necessarily looking pretty. So now we're getting points!!
