I have just heard the rumours of a 10pt deduction for you (Watford) over third party ownership of Danny Graham. Apparently when he was sold to Swansea, there were other interests (parties that had lent money to the club to part own the player). Is this true?

We have been charged, but not been up in front of the beak yet. I see our cast-offs did ok for you tonight.

Your cast offs? When did Whittingham, Connolly, Marshall, Hudson, Conway (Need I go on?) play for you? Enlighten me.

Whats this Cardiff getting worried we might catch them - no 10 points deduction for us - how about you?

Let's be honest, there's no chance of that.

I was just wondering if it was true, or just rumours.

You can play as well as you want, but you won't overtake or catch us. You may get 2nd mind, especially with a player like Vydra.

Rumours - probably wishful thinking on the part of jealous opposition in the Championship. There certainly are 'issues' over the sale of DG, mostly down to the shady dealings of our previous owner. The FA have yet to deliberate the case so anything heard until then is pure speculation.

General consensus here is that we will be fined only - but that is just speculation too.

Our backroon staff: David Kerslake, Richard Collinge, Joe McBride and Iain Moody that is four
Hornets or ex-Horent players: Andrew Taylor, Don Cowie, Tommy Smith, Jordon Mutch and Heiðar Helguson five

Watford transfer targets: Craig Conway and Jon Parkin were to sign as Malky Mackay left and he took the deals to Cardiff City and Frazier Campbell, two definate here and perhaps a third.

Mackay sniffing Hornet and ex-Hornet twice: Marvin Sordell

MM also tried to take: Sean Dyche and Stephen McGinn

Funny how two of the people replaced were Paul Wilkinson and Terry Burton who were also ex-Hornets.

To me he has had nine staff and former staff three possible other players and three who did not go. That is quite a lot.

There is also a rumour that our owners have done a deal with the FL about the punishment, so my guess is that could be dependant on where we finish. For example, if we were to finish 2nd, 4 points clear of 3rd and with a better goal difference, we would have 4 points deducted but if we had a worse goal difference, we would have 3 deducted and then any fine would be scaled accordingly but I doubt it as that would be too complicated for those in charge of the FL.

You cannot say Conway was going to you, and Dave Jones signed Jon Parkin for us in his last season, and then Malky sold him in his first month as manager. As for Fraizer, you would not have had a chance in hell of getting him.

    Proves how much you know..

Helps if you have lots of money, but you would know that being minted.

I can say and I did as Malky was doing the deal, DaveJones/Jon Parkin I stand corrected and Fraizer we wre linked probably would not have got him but it was a link.

Why would we want Fraizer Campbell when we have a striker 10 times better in Mataj Vydra?

10 point deduction? To be honest, we don't really know. If they are trying to nail us for third party ownership, then they have set a precedent with the Tevez and Faurlin cases, so it will only be a fine. Unfortunately it is not as simple as that, as we lied about receiving a loan on the basis of future income from player sales. Although when I say 'we', it was our crook of an ex owner. Our saving grace is that the club never benefitted from these loans, but rather his back-pocket did. The new owners seem to have been very open and honest with the FL about it all, so hopefully they will look on us sympathetically... but no doubt once their verdict comes out and there is no points deduction, most teams around us will cry, much the same as they have been crying about us being a Udinese 'feeder club'

As for Malky... for me he's in the past now, so don't really care what he has done or is going to do. I firmly beleive we have a brighter future now than if we had him still here. Cardiff are top through merit (albeit having the rub of the green at home against us), and if someone offered us 2nd behind them, I'd happily take that now!

Following that, and off topic a little... imagine if Cardiff, Watford and Burnley all go up this season. The last 3 and the current Watford manager all in the Prem!
