It also includes a lovely pleasant snow border to the video and the happiest music I have ever heard. Clearly, things couldn't be more perfect down at Staplewood.
Well, you never know! Ha ha. No but my point was you can send a photographer into a situation and portray pretty much any mood you like from the photos you take. I bet I could have attended the same training session and taken the same number of photos with all the players looking glum. I'm not trying to say they actually are, my own opinion is that the players are all going to try and make the best of the situation and impress their new boss. The only point I was attempting to make is that this article offers virtually no insight into the current mood in the team.
He hasn't taken it badly, he has taken it like anyone with morales would. The sudden realisation that we are no better than any other of the weasel teams in the Premier league.
Oh for goodness sake. How many training photos have we seen on the OS or on player? Even during our darkest hours, the players seemed happy. What would you expect? "yes, pick that shot where Lambo just took a ball to the gonads and is in excruciating pain?"
Well, you can take from it that they're all professionally going about their jobs, at least. The few comments they've made on Twitter all seem cautiously optimistic too.
In a point that isn't about Adkins, Cortese or Pochettino; can't seem to see Lallana in these, I thought he was supposed to be back in training? If he isn't in full training I can't see him playing against Everton
I don't think an Everton return was likely anyway, but the fact he was in training and seems to have disapeared is worrying ... unless he's burning Cortese at the stake.
Well I'm not sure, there were pictures of him in training that seemed to suggest he was getting closer to being fit, but perhaps it's not full training. Maybe he'll get a run out for the U21s or something.
I would say that's not a bad guess ... mid to late Feb. looks pretty realistic to me although any time before is certainly a huge bonus
Basically, we all think he's like the step dad and the squad are the kids who secretly don't get on well with him. Adkins was a far better dad than you etc.
The players realise that Poch is the new manager and that it is in everybody's interest, including the fans, that they get on with him and understand what he wants. He did not sack Adkins. A man they liked had his contract cancelled, but no doubt fully paid up. They have probably spoken to Nigel and commiserated, but they are grown men not children. You can't stamp your feet and moan that life isn't fair. They get on with it. They were filmed training for a job they enjoy...see nothing surprising that they looked happy. No great conspiracy...not filmed looking grim, but they weren't filmed picking their noses or adjusting their pants either.
I reckon they might have considered that today of all days was not the best for Lallana to be out there pounding the near frozen ground considering the impact that may have on his knee.
And now the part of training you didn't see. Expect to see this on the front cover of the papers tomorrow.
