I don't know what's more pathetic. This insipid attempt by the club to prove everything is wonderful... or the fact that some fans swallow every single thing they see on the official site. The gullibility and outright spineless nature of some Saints fans is quite breathtaking.
Yes, because I'm passionate about my club and hate to feel associated with such an obnoxious betrayal of a decent man. But I realise to be a "real fan" these days you must just go along to matches, sit nicely, not say any rude words, buy tons of **** in the megastore and swallow every single thing the club tells you.
Yeah it's much more likely all the players are miserable and this video captures the only fleeting moments when they weren't carrying 'Cortese out' banners and actually coincidentally looked like they were training. Frankly you seem more passionate about Adkins than the club.
Yep, thats me, I have my face ready painted for Monday, and I will spend all the money I own in the Saints megastore and when they tell me the world is flat, I will believe them. Grow up, Adkins approached Blackpool in November, it's football. Deal with it.
Good to see Lloyd Isgrove in and around the first team ... althogh trying to navigate 87 pictures in that monstrosity of a gallery is fun
Quite right, Everything about yesterday was completely wrong, From Nigel being sacked to what Pochettino said in his interview. I prided myself on the fact saints were diffrent from other teams, that we had a team spirit and that everyone worked together. What yesterday proved was i'm wrong, were just as spineless and ruthless as any other no good Premier league team. That is not what i have supported and it certainly is'nt something im going to start supporting. I felt like i was betraying Nigel by watching the press conference and listening to how Pochettino had researched us for "several weeks". What really tipped me over the edge was the fact that even Vegard Forren knew that Nigel was going to be sacked and had met Pochettino the day before. Truly disgusting. Nicola Cortese didn't deserve to have an employee as fantastic as Nigel Adkins.
Just click on the picture and it advances to the next one. It's nice to see Boruc getting on with the new GK coach.
How many more are you going to? Back on topic for a minute, if anyone is interested I've been trying to figure out who the coaches are in those photos. The guy with the gloves on looks like this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Jiménez_Sistachs who was Pochettino's assistant at Espanyol. Won a gold medal with Spain at the 92 Olympics. The short guy is Toni Borrell, who was a coach at Espanyol. Doesn't seem to have had much of a playing career, can't find out anything much about him. The guy with FA on his tracksuit is, judging by the fact he has a personalised tracksuit and the others don't, the Spanish-speaking coach we already had, as mentioned by Ramirez previously. Anyone know his full name? Exciting huh?
It's all a bit "1984" for my liking, "here you go disgruntled proles, have a video of your idols looking happy" in the meantime make sure all the players and staff delete any tweets that suggest surprise or unhappiness. Oh and someone has written Adkins' name in the snow, send the guards to obliterate it. "It's okay you can all think happy, happy thoughts now (and perhaps consider visiting our excellent megastore)."
Yeah but the problem is we can't have an objective chat about the training, because what we are looking at is a carefully selected group of photos and a heavily edited video, both of which were obviously produced with the brief of making everything appear ok.
As it was pointed out earlier, what do you think the rest of training was? Players burning effigies of Cortese and pushing Pochettino over?
Strewth CBK...you have taken it badly.......What would you have us do for goodness sake? Boycott ST Mary's so the club goes broke again......... I can't believe you would want that.......Protest...we are already doing that.....Start more of the Lowe era marches and demonstrations. What would that achieve worst scenario the family call it a day and we get a Chanrai type in? We may not like it but there is not a lot we can do. Cortese knows that we will not accept or gel to the new manager if doesn't get early results....that is the gamble he has taken. Cortese knows how we felt about NA and will be well aware of how we feel about all this. Don't doubt that......if we still want to be in the Premier next season we just have to put up with the decisions that Cortese makes and still back our team.....That, after all love him or hate him, is his bloody Job!
