Yes it is your opinion and you're entitled to it I wasn't criticising, I was saying it was there for the taking Edit: My opinion on the game was right, my suspicions where proved wrong as we didn't just sit back and take the 2-0
Well it was a very satisfying performance and with two tough games coming up we needed this type of result. We look threatening going forward now with Sturridge up top we look so much better balanced. Still think a creative midfielder would be good and a top class winger. Get those and I will be happy.
Although it turned out to be little more than a practice match (and Norwich should look to themselves to find out why) 2 things became apparent for me. Hendo is rapidly learning his trade as a CM. Today, the number of times he let the ball come across himself thereby giving him acres of space to move into and/or play an incisive pass! For me that was even more pleasing than his goal. With the inter-play between Suarez and Sturridge we looked for the first time as if we actually knew how to barke them down,
Danny Sturridge "I'd like to thank god for giving me the opportunity to pull on the red shirt". Didn't realise Fowler was part of our scouting team?
Pathetic! Just because the lad makes a refernce to his faith you have to attempt some sarcastic 'wit'!
not seen the game but it looks like we played a 4-4-2 and that goes against all the critics who says Rodgers wont change his tactics or that he has no plan b.
I found it quite funny even if I do say so myself Thought was standard 4-3-3 with Henderson Lucas Gerrard in middle, Downing and Suarez either side of Sturridge?
On paper it was, on the field Suarez was behind Sturridge and Johnson was practically an advanced winger
Bit harsh there Dave. You know full well we refer to Fowler as god, IBWT was only having a bit of a joke and there is zero commit towards faith If you was WUMming, then...well played
2-3-5 Only needed 2 defenders. Wisdom, Johnson, Downing, Suarez, and Sturridge - playing as a front 5.
Maybe someone told Hash Wesley Crusher was coming to Anfield today. Not sure what Wil Wheaton would bring to our midfield though
Great win for us. I don't think any of the teams between us and Chelsea have picked up more points against the bottom 10. Now if we can just get the results against the top sides we'll be in buisness for 4th spot. I fancy us against Arsenal but City are back in form and we'd do really well to get a result there.
I'd be more likely to go the other way, tbh. We always seem to struggle to get anything out of Arsenal.
City normally play pretty ****e against us, and to be fair, we normally turn up against the big teams but just fail to get the goals. We finally seem able to score from the bucket load of chances we create. I'd be looking for a point at least against City. If Rodgers doesn't tinker with the starting team, I'll be confident (but play Skrtel over Carra). Sterling looked more dangerous coming on as a sub with fresh legs imo, keep him there for a few more games.
