Here we go again. RH's inside contact said we've made a bid. I'll ask my contact and find out if he knows anything. Interestingly, Sharp wasn't on the list I saw.

He'd be excellent but like Frazier Campbell, this rumour pops up every transfer window.

Adkins gone from parent club, O'Driscoll gone from loan club.

Unlike Andy Dawson, this may have legs.

It seems very odd if it's untrue for Matt Dean to say a "trusted source in football" on air has said it. He heads the Humberside sport people, if wrong he'll look like a right tit. Would be a good signing if true :O

I thought he had played for Southampton and Forest this season, can we get him on emergency loan.

Matt Deans sauce needs checking for its sell by date then, he's played for forest on a half season loan and saints already, so only way that's possible is to get him on a 93 day emergency loan.

    I call bullshit

Ha that's changed quickly. "May stay at Forest until the end of the season and weigh up his options." I think you could have this right, and I've tweeted that exact point to Matt Dean on his twitter.

Are there any rules in place which limit how many clubs a player can play for in one season?

Currently under the FIFA Transfer Regulations a football player is unable to play for more than three teams in one season. This applies whether the player has been transferred or simply is on loan with that club.

This also applies regardless of what country that player has plied his trade in, whether that is in Europe, Africa or South America. As long as a player has represented a club in a league under the adjudication of a FIFA Member Association they will only be able to play for three different clubs.

However, this does mean that a football player is free to represent a total of three different clubs in any league in the world over the course of one season.

We have had like three threads about this. You get 2 clubs and you can do an emergency loan for a third in our league.

kccircle, yes that's fifas ruling, but we do away with that having our emergency loan system but limiting players to play for only 2 long term clubs. Septic bladder has consistently tried to get us in line with the rest of FIFA because he knows our system is better and he won't admit being wrong.
