  1. A lot of opposition fans have a similar view of Lucas <ok>

Lucas is better at tackling and has improved his forward passing greatly though. I think a few years ago, yes they did but I think now people realise how important he is, especially when he was out for so long last year and a bit this year.

Stoke spanked today which is positive.

Reading beat Newcastle away which is pretty crazy too.

  4. You don't need to convince me that Lucas is better, I'm the fu<king preacher <laugh>

Just pointing out that these types of players are often seen as overrated by opposition fans because they are out of the limelight of the highlight reels, people don't see their qualities on MOTD etc <ok>

True, but Tiote to me just seems like a foregin Lee Cattermole. Doesn't offer much more than a booking each game

  6. He was superb a two seasons ago (when he got 'that goal') but he does seem to have stagnated. I can't say I'd like to see us go for him <ok>

What has actually happened to Newcastle? 2 points of 18th.. <yikes>

Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Cisse, Santon, Tiote, Ba (for half a season) Collocini.. These are all good players and they should be nowhere near the relegation zone, very worrying if you're a Newcastle fan

Newcastle apparently signing another player from the French league.. some defender who I look forward to Merson saying on Soccer saturday as he has an awesome name - Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

You do wonder if they have scouts anywhere else in the World though as they love the French league.

  9. I would suspect that's got something to do with Mike Ashley, players seem to be cheaper from the French league <ok>

They have had a lot of injuries but its at a point now where you look at the manager.

Something is very wrong over there, and I can see more players leaving.

A win for Chelseatomorrow by 5 goals or more would put us 6th!

Yeah! Though, I'd prefer a win at Arsenal to go 6th if I'm honest <whistle> Not confident we can beat them away, but we're due a win against a top 10 side at some point, right?

If Villa win as well then I think Newcastle drop to 17th

Normal service resumed after that one wonder season. Injuries finally catching up with their bargain signings who other clubs didn't touch and the manager who was over rated because of the one off season suddenly got lumped with an 8 year contract and has since shown how average he is.

Could be a good weekend for us though, WBA losing, Arsenal have a tough game and Spurs might drop points also. Just need Sotton to better the Toffies and we'll be pushing up again!
