What about Pardew's time in charge. I thought for the first season he did well, with us just missing out on a promotion play-off place, after being deducted 10 points!

I didn't see Adkins get approached by Sampdoria or Valencia and have a member of the Real Madrid board scout him.

Encourages youth, has a pass and press mentality, uses various formations. Sound familiar?

Sounds like the football manager we just sacked for no reason.

Why would I be joking?, I preferred it when you said such things as one goal etc. At least that was different from other people, the constant putting down of the new manager is boring already.

Every football manager likes to bring youth through. They're essentially free players with an additional loyalty bonus. Also the majority of managers like to play pressing and short passing. The tactical differences will not be evident until we actually see Pochettino take charge of a game!

I'm not putting down the new manager. I am saying there is no diffrence between what he stands for and what Nigel stands for.

That is a tad ridiculous, it was indeed Cortese that saw our club in trouble, brought in investment and brought in the right man to take us up to the prem. Now we are there he feels a new man is needed for the next leg of the adventure, so be it, Adkins will be fine and it remains to be seen how this new fella will do so all this grumbling is a waste of time and effort.

Hope it made that narrow minded fool feel happy to write that letter but I'm sure it will be filed in Cortese's 'special' filing cabinet and he'll get on with trying to make Southampton FC a financially sustainable top team in England.

I've tried to be diplomatic with my previous post but I'm fed up with so many narrow minded views, how soon people forget what he has done.

Can I just ask you something, what makes you think you know more about football than the decision makers at Southampton Football Club? Because a lot of your opinions seem to be ridiculous.

You may be right, he may be better, but there is also a chance that he is wose. It's an unneccessary risk. If it goes tits up then Cortese will have some VERY serious questions to answer.

According to Balaque it was the Southampton Board, so not just Cortese.

Someone taking liberties in speaking for others? 99% maybe a little disappointed but not 99% believed we would stay up. Get over it move on, we've lost a great man but we support a football club and not 1 person.
