May not have Fran, but the way that he had the team playing especially in recent away games made me feel quite confident that Saints could get something from any game, even at Old Trafford. Lets hope that this trend continues under the new manager.

We need to move on now. I've done my "grieving" for Adkins and we need to embrace the new era at SMS.

Well done Tom, a bit of a turnaround from yesterday but I probably said things I regret today as well. Life goes on!

Ancelotti at PSG? Hiddink at Anzhi? Basically any previous Chelsea manager it seems <laugh>

    *Pochettino.

So your logic is, he's managed in Spain for a little bit so we'll sign loads of Spanish players and ruin everything? You admit that it's the same as another manager being linked with loads of former players (which, unless the manager is Redknapp, doesn't tend to happen) so would you think there's no point in ever bringing in a new manager for fear they'd sign players they know about?

And what does it matter if he brings them in over time? Would you prefer us to stick with the exact squad we have now, never adding to it?

I think a point from Wigan is essential. If for no other reason than keeping them close or below us. To have them get three points really puts us in hole. Before this i has hoping for a point from Monday the way the guys had been playing. Two training sessions and videos of our game is not much for MP to go by to pick a team.

What has that got to do with anything? Every manager we've had has brought through youth, Nigel was doing exactly the same.

Please let's not start calling him Pinocchio. That's an awful nickname. Just learn to say his name properly, it's not hard.

It means it's not likely he'll "do a QPR" as people like RLGB have accused him of planning to do.

I think it's very disrespectful as he hasn't done anything wrong...Poch or MP is fine.

I can't work out if it's a typical disparaging nonsense nickname, or if people are just really stupid.

If it's the latter, then as Fran said, Poch or MP. If it's the first, it's pathetic (and still really stupid).

I think it's a borderline racist, "hahaha he has a funny foreign name" kind of nickname.

Mustn't forget the players are the same and know each other. They will mainly do what Adkins would have asked anyway.
