I don't think many people on the forum would deny it.

Most wouldn't boast about it tho'...getting over Joe must've been harder than we thought... :)

    Mark Lawrenson:

"I just wonder if Reds boss Brendan Rodgers might have a couple of dilemmas, though. Firstly whether Joe Allen and Lucas can play together in a 4-3-3.

Do they really need both of them in their midfield? With Lucas you can play Steven Gerrard and Jose Enrique either side of him, and give you a really nice balance going forward.

    ...

I think we might see Daniel Sturridge starting for the first time in the league, with Luis Suarez buzzing around behind him. Suarez could play tucked in on the left of the players behind Sturridge."

What is this guy on about? I swear he makes an error every single week. What does 'tucked in on the left of the players behind Sturridge' mean? Surely he just means 'on the left of Sturridge'...

He then comes out with this:

"Joe Allen is a decent footballer but I don't think anyone else would have paid the money that Liverpool did for him. Because it was Brendan Rodgers, who managed him at Swansea, I have to say Swansea have been very clever and did very well to get £15m."

Apparently oblivious to the fact that £15m was Allen's release clause, which we had to meet in order to be able to speak with him owing to the agreement that Rodgers couldn't go for any Swansea players for 12 months.

He seems to think that Rodgers just plucked £15m as a figure out the air, and offered it.

Surely that just shows how clever Swansea have been? Insert a £15m release clause into the contract of a player who is worth nowhere near, then get the only bloke who thinks he is worth that amount of money to join the only club stupid enough to actually pay that amount of money and get a superior manager and top class player as a result with a good £13m left over.

    Sheer genius <ok>

Just wait till the big reveal at the end, when you find out SAF is actually the Godfather, and all other clubs in the league only exist so he can keep smacking Liverpool down more and more and more. He's the one who recommended Carroll and Downing to Dalglish <ok>
