Just been reading some threads on my fave website the OS Forum. This one is funny not the thread itself but the link to OTIB thread One Team In Bristol my god these ****heads are well jealous so we are not actually a team from Bristol now. What in blue **** has that to do with price of water. In the NFL the New York Giants and New York Jets share a stadium in East Rutherford which isn't even in New York state let alone the city its in the state of New Jersey

    A quote by one gashead

"They have actually mentioned rolls Royce Filton as a potential sight!! Isn't that "south glous" idiots!!" :emoticon-0148-yes:

to be honest, the amount of wums we gave city about leaving bristol and playing in north somerset even though the site for their stadium wasnt in north somerset, its expected they will use the south glos thing as a wum back. that doesnt bother me though seeing we played in bath for years and years. its all banter etc. technically we will not be in bristol but we should be. places like emersons green, frenchay, kingswood, downend, hannam, longwell green, staple hill and filton are all south glos places but will always be known as bristol. bristol is quite small if you compare to north somerset and south glos looking at the borders on this map...

It really doesn't matter. GCCC Nevil Road HQ ground isn't in Gloucestershire.
....and our new ground will have a Bristol postcode.
Good for banter, but if we have a new ground and start moving up the league/s
being a few metres across the boundary of the City and County of Bristol won't
    matter a jot!

The minute the UWE is rubber stamped and the plant is on site, expect more sour grapes, its only natural, I have always said that a new stadium for Rovers at the UWE would wipe the grin of a few thousand smug faces from the other side, even if both were in new stadiums I cant really see a comparison between the two, ours would be in the heart of an affluent area, with healthy commerce & industry surrounding it, along with good motorway & rail links within a mile of the site, I think its a no-brainer when it comes to hosting other events such as concerts, faced with a choice would these other events rather be staged in an area like North Bristol with its transport infrastructure or on the other side of town in the countryside!!
Im honest enough and not so Blue & White tinted to realize that were the second club in the city at this moment in time, but no-one can surely disagree that the worm is about to turn, if I spent my life letting a football rivalry screw my head up, I would be well pissed of as a city fan.

I dont mean to be disrespecful to the city lads that post on here, I am sure you guys can see where I am coming from, we have more than our fair share of the same types.

Stupid comparison really. If you've been to Brightons new ground its in the middle of nowhere really You have to park about 5 miles away from the ground and you get took over by a free bus. Just like what we would have. Yet they have no trouble with what you have said <doh> Remember the stadium with the most fans is the team who is doing the best <ok>

Didn't Mr Sexton state that if Bristol Rovers got a new ground they could take the lead in Bristol?
