Ok no match today so in order to occupy the time, I am trying to decide what is our best match day squad, assuming there are no further additions or departures in this window. Now I realise that Martin Allen is of the breed of managers who believe that football is now a squad game and I do have some sympathy with that argument, and it is important some times to pick a team for a specific match, but as has been stated elsewhere we have 3 home games coming up and it is my belief that these 3 games may hold the key to rest of the season so I would pick our strongest side for all 3. I would also play in 4 5 1 formation with wide players joining up with the CF. My sqaud would be as follows. Nelson, Fish, Martin, Legge, Barrett, Lee, Payne, Jackman, Whelpdale, Weston and Kedwell. Subs Forecast, Davies, Gregory, Allen, Dack, Birchall, Burton. This formation would play Kedwell to his strengths and should also get the best out of Whelpdale who in my opinion is the amongst the best players in this league. I am not sure when Dack's loan is up if he not available I would have Miller on the bench. This midfield should be able to dominate possesion and create chances.
