I think the nickname is already Poch. Although someone on the radio did say that the new manager's name reminded him of thinly sliced ham. Actually, Italian thinly sliced ham is Prosciutto, so you can see the similarity. Just..!
He kept referring to the project and the Spanish word for that also sounds like prosciutto...I thought he was giving a lunch order. His early nickname was The Sheriff...can't see that catching on.
Is it wrong that I wouldn't care if he looked like Big Sam after an all-night brawl, provided he wins games?
I'm almost not even interested by the game now. Tons of problems in my life so football is like my relief, my excitement; and now that relief has gone because of this situation... Ludicrous decision. Glad I didn't buy a season ticket.
Not buying a season ticket is a ludicrous decision (if you could afford it). Even more reason now to follow Saints and see that this is not that bad if you really have big problems in your life. Those problems should put a little perspective on this.
I have scarcely visited this thread recently. Not because of a lack of interest but because there are so many other bloody threads that I have been on! One thing I am not looking forward to is the Sky coverage. the pundits are going to crucify Cortese but it will be very interesting to see what team MP picks.
Not wrong at all, but I'd rather not look at someone like Martin Jol. Being pleasant and smiley was just a small solace for not seeing and hearing Nigel.
Yeah Sky will be beaming that they've got this one. Although I expect Monday to be about what happens off the pitch, I hope that after that we can get back to the football. Maybe it depends on the results.
I hope to god that Savage isn't on Football Focus today. He called Adkins sacking as disgraceful, so if he is on today he will put across his own warped opinion.
Must remember that we might have lost on Monday anyway. Win would be great, but the new manager cannot be judged after only a couple of days. I'm expecting the team to play with spirit for us and to impress the new guy.
Oh it was because I couldn't afford one, lucky to be earning £7/8k a year at the moment. Been to about 6 matches this season though.
