SAF isn't retiring for another 2-3 years.

Mourinho wants to come back to England in the summer.

And I believe that Mourinho will leave Madrid at the end of the season, and Fergie wont be leaving United, so there goes that conclusion

Other than Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp of Dortmund is another big shout. His free flowing passing style and high pressing akin to Barcelonas should be noticed by Roman

But Jose returning would be gold, as for United fans, they should hope we get Mourinho, otherwise City will

  8. No way will The Special One go back to Chelsea. Those bridges are burnt, I believe.

    He'll go to £ity as a make-stop to United.

Who is running rings around Mourinho? Pep doesnt have a job at the moment, so how is he running rings around Mourinho? And last time I checked, last season, Mourinho's Madrid beat Guardiola's Barca to the La Liga title.
If Barca had a decent manager, they would be purely unstoppable. Shame they haven't. But like I said, the players manage themselves, they know how they want to play and they know it is successful so they stick to it.
Only when Guardiola isn't handed the best team on the planet, and manages to turn them into an awesome team of world beaters (Like SAF did at Man Utd or Jose did at Porto), will I believe he is a good manager.

I suspect Pep know`s his limitations, he was in charge of a team who more or less walked the Spanish league for several seasons then last year Madrid took their crown and Pep decided he was worn out by the pressure of management and quit to take a year off. Now he is rested and ready to take on a new challenge, who has he picked, the team that is running away with the German league. Low risk management to keep his stock high.

He was never a possibility here! Class like him now know better than to sign up with Roman--if they really want a managerial career!

Would you Chelsea fans like to see Mancini take over as manager?

Obviously he is better than Benitez, I mean compared to other possibilities?

    No.

To be frank, Mancini is not a manger i rate to be honest. He's consistently failed to deliver in Europe and had it pretty easy at club level. How many Italian titles were pretty much given to him as a result of the scandal over there at the time? 3?

He's done OK with City, that's about it. He did his best to blow the league last year, has failed twice to get out the group in the C.L and looks like they could end up trophy less this year despite the most expensive squad and highest wages. Has fallen out with players publically too.

I'd rather keep Rafa tbh. If we don't get Jose there isn't much out there at the required level - our own fault I know! Klopp would be good but can't see why he'd come to us given the great work he's doing at Dortmund. Maybe a Moyes/Clarke type but we all know Roman won't take on someone like that.

I kind of agree that Guardiola had it easy at Barcelona. He was in the right place at the right time, inheriting such a great side. Look at how well his old number 2 is doing there now. Aslong as the players like you, then you will do well there, as you don't need to be a tactical genius to win with Messi and co.

I'm not saying Guardiola isn't a top manager, I just feel he needs to prove it under more difficult circumstances.

He has picked quite a safe option in Bayern Munich, he would have been taking a far bigger risk had he come to the PL. In Germany Bayern are the biggest club with the most money to spend, we're as in England Man Utd are the biggest, but City and Chelsea spend the most money on transfer fees and wages. So it would be far more diffucult to dominate in England with one of those 3, than it would be to dominate in Germany with Bayern.

He should be able to dominate domestically with Bayern, but his true ability will be judged at how well he does in the CL with them. He's never going to have as strong a side as his Barcelona side, so he's going to have to be a little more tactically aware:biggrin:

    100% spot on.

He simply isn't as proven as his trophy record suggests. Jose won the C.L with Porto and Inter and got to multiple semi finals with his other clubs (missing out on 2 finals on pens). If Pep can win the C.L with Bayern then they can be thought of in the same bracket.

Why is Jose Mourinho all of a sudden the benchmark with you clowns, he has only ever won the title with a side that has been the most expensive in the division.

He was also sacked from chelsea because SAF had conquered his Chelsea side with far less transfer budget and wages in 06/07 and the following season in 07/08 SAF and his far cheaper, and far less paid side had made a far better start, and were looking like winning the title again, despite far less resources.

Mourinho has only ever won titles in country's when his side has had far superior financial backing. He may have done SAF for the first couple of years, spending ten times as much as him, but once SAF realised his threat he had that clown well and truly covered, even with a far smaller budget:biggrin:
