Boro away last year on Boxing Day(was it last year, or the year before?), was one of the weirdest games I've ever been to. The snow was so deep that nobody could figure our where the car park was, it took over three hours to get there and when we got there, we couldn't see the other end of the pitch and had no ****ing idea what was going on for most of the game. Still, we had a laugh.
It was the year before and it wasn't boxing day it was November. We did play them on boxing day last year but that wasn't the snowy one.
I think you should be awarded a goal for hitting the woodwork 3 times and another for 2 offside goals for mowbray to say they deserved something out of the game was clutching at straws your turn tomorrow=====good luck
To be fair boro were good and I thought they matched you, hitting the woodwork so many times is a stat that makes you look far superior but if we're fair all 3 that hit the woodwork were only half chances and you wouldn't particularly expect them to score. Maybe will Keane should have done better. Hitting the woodwork is like saying we missed a few shots so we deserve a win. Both teams had equal clear scoring chances and both sides fluffed them, would have been a bore draw were it not for a magical strike from Niger.
how the fook could you possibly know that...? dear oh dear... the expert on road conditions 100 miles away... lets face it... hull are just a much bigger club than Leicester everybody knows it
I suppose it just depends on how close the fans live to the stadium and if they can walk there. Apparently most of the players had to abandon their cars. 8k was probably pretty good considering.
http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/10172815._/ nearly 20,000 tickets sold in advance... no refund on the cards...
bore draw if not for the goal??? what game were you watching...I've seen many bore draws and that game tonight would not be one of them (had it finished a draw lol !!) Superb goal though I agree.
I concur, a very even game which in all honesty, we could have lost. Nugents goal was good though and went absolutey mental when Kasper saved that penalty, though I always had a feeling he would!
What a dire game of football this was. Marvin Emnes looks to have been to the Jay Simpson school of penalty taking. Horrid penalty. At least we can now have the great satisfaction of taking back 2nd spot saturday night after Lesta kept it warm for us for less than 24 hours. Table looks far better with Hull City 2nd at the moment.
When there are the 2 teams below us in the table playing each other you can forgive us for taking an interest. A result for either team last night would have affected our league position, it's not some massive love for Leicester. Suprised your game went ahead though, the amount of fans at the game was testament to the fact the sensible decision would be for the game not to go ahead.
How many season ticket holders do you have in that? (It's not as obvious as you'd think, when we were in L1 with Huddersfield they got about 10,500 and we got 16,500 but we had the same number of season ticket holders so you really can't just scale it up or down) Even without a refund, it's feasible they could offer reduced prices to future games to people with unused tickets, but obviously for season ticket holders it would only work for a Cup game.
We'll have to see if our game can now be played today (I suspect fans of other clubs around us in the table will be keeping one eye on the score - so Middlesbrough, Leicester, Palace and maybe even Cardiff fans will all be hoping for a Peterbrough victory) and what is unusual about a thread regarding a game involving 2 of our rivals for 2nd place, bet a thread has occured in the past when other clubs have been in the same position and will occur again - probably this season, maybe even this afternoon.
They'll be season ticket holders that thought it looked a bit chilly. I suspect much of the population of Leicester have never seen snow before.
