Aye mate. Just got in from a 285 mile drive from the South West. Took 6 bloody hours as its wall to wall snow and my car is a rear wheel drive. Nightmare.

 

Off topic. My girlfriend showed me pictures her friend had taken in the local tescos. All the aisles completely empty. Milk, bread, meat.

Wtf is wrong with people?! Couple of inches of snow is hardly a ****ing zombie outbreak

Difficult one. In some ways you can view Reading at home as a game to have a go at and gain some confidence, building on a good point at Norwich. Also are you stocking up problems for later in the season by not playing it.

Then there is the view of a nice little winter break a la Arsenal, players coming back by the week, stronger in the future if signings arrive etc.

All things considered I think we get it played. We could strengthen that is true but we could also pick up more injuries. Norwich is fresh, lets get out there and ease the pressure on ourselves.

Of course I reserve the right post match to say we should have shovelled snow onto the pitch and terraces should we lose!

Well I've just got into work
it's taken 45 mins for a 4 mile drive

the main roads seem to be ok but the minor roads and carparks
where many supporters park in are a nightmare
you can get into the the car parks, just don't know if you can get out
got to be about 4" (101mm) of snow in the car park in front of me
and my place is about 500 yards (457 metres) from St. James'
best of luck, but I think there may be a surrounding area inspection rather than a pitch inspection

 

Chucking it down rather heavily here at the moment, could well end up like that.

Reading fans have set off for the 300+ mile trip up to the Toon. Would be a long, cold day if they arrive and then have to turn back round again.

 

Don't think they'd turn straight around Obi, they'd probably visit a pub or two and flavour the off the field atmosphere.

they say the pitch is being cleared and the council are clearing the surrounding areas

lets get into perspective what the council class as the surrounding areas
a 250 yard perimetre does not go far to clear the car parks and the surounding side streets
how many people park within 250 yards of the ground ??
for everyone else it's a struggle to get into open carparks
the car park in front of me has 45 spaces of which 4 places have been taken
needless to say all these vehicles are 4 x 4

lets be careful out there

 

Bad enough getting parked at any time and anywhere on Saturdays.
