Oh my GOOOODDDDDDD!!!! Who invited the history teacher! YAWN! It was a million years ago Ipswich. How can you justify success in a time where there were probably 20 players on each side and Julius ceasar watching from the directors box?
Don't you dare diss Big Dunc Warky, yes he was hard but he had to be, but one thing he wasn't was a cheat. From what I can gather he's also a very ill man right now too.
We were in the pub before the man city game at christmas and singing "You never won league one!" was pretty awesome.
Sorry Warky, forgot about the much loved FA cup........... The epic struggle between reserve and youth teams up and down the country every year.
Come on JWM, what Leeds were doing was what everyone else wanted to do but couldn't. I remember you beating us 3-4 at Carrow Road in the 60's. We were 2-0 and cruising when whoever was your manager at the time told a young Mick Mills to kick the ****e out of Charlie Crickmore who was roasting you. Crickmore was carried off and it turned the game. Nigh on 40,000 knew exactly what had happened but it was part of the game then. I've seen Billy Baxter assassinating George Best at Portman Road and probably giving him a chinese burn after giving him a hand up after crippling him. And I've seen Dunc go through the back of forwards as if it was normal and I'm not sure he was ever sent off. The same as we hated the Welsh rugby team of the 70's, we hated Leeds but what we really were was jealous.
That's understandable, but as I said earlier no-one in Suffolk was jealous of ANYONE back then. If I was going to pick a team to get behind now it'd be the Swans so I suppose if I envied anyone, which I don't, it would be them.
Mr Carrabuh would you like to tell me exactly which part you're struggling to get to grips with? I know it can be testing for someone from the dark side of East Anglia to read English
