I for one welcome our new manager. For one he actually said something about a transfer! Second the guy is tipped to take over Real Madrid one day and is close friends with the 'Special one' which says to me he has links in the game. Nigel didnt have that. Time will only tell if Nicola Cortese got it right and by going by past decisions we will be fine.

Each to their own- I will not be wearing my saints shirt for some time in the future, that won't stop me from cheering the team at the game. My protest will be aimed at where it could do more damage to the club by not buying my beer/pies/coffee at the ground and not buying anything from the club shop. On my own it will make no difference to the club takings, but it will make me personally feel better knowing I am making my protest - if a few dozen more supporters did this every week then it would begin to show an effect on the weekly income figures, maybe by just enough to affect someone's year end dividend/bonus.

I think we have been betrayed today, and each of us will take it in a slightly different way. Theres those who have moved on already, they probably knew there was little love there anyway. Theres the ones trying to come to terms with it, they will find love again, they just may take some time. Then theres the full of resentment people, I'm still in this stage, because I didn't see this coming, I don't feel like I deserve this, I'm going to need some serious winning over, I hope to Markus that Nigel does not get a job before that time, I'm just not on that bus yet, no way.

Sherood, you are not alone with the way you feel.

I know, I'd love Papa Waigo back too. But there you go, we move on.

Since when does who I support come into to play when I'm on here saying Adkins shouldn't have been sacked (admitting he was doing a good job) even though I don't like him (I mentioned that bit)?
Would you rather I acted like Trixter giving it large about Adkins getting sacked?

Right then, lets try and look through this bitter comment, firstly I do like our manager, he got us promoted through a great day out at Wembley witch was the most enjoyable year for a West Ham fan for many years. If Big Sam is a clueless dinosaur unlike Adkins like your comment suggests, how do you explain the 4-1 victory over Southampton, or the fact we've been above you in the table since the start of the season.
As for the old Hoofball comment, I'm assuming you've been to every one of our games? or do you just believe everything you read on forums?

I'm still unsure why me posting about Adkins not deserving to be sacked brings out the BFS hate crew.

Yup, stupid comments to make no matter what happened on the pitch.

To be fair it wasn't a bad post until the final sentence, and in the words of Vinnie Jones "I'll put that down to shock". Although I think a points tally of "46 points minimum" is probably a touch optimistic.

I don't. The day Papa Waigo wasn't signed permanently, I fell out of love with my club.

Like that is ever going to be successful. I assumed a little more intelligence from the son, given the father. But the father has been surprising me in the last couple of years. None of this helps.

I am very aware that modern magement is into project leadership through selection of the right person to get you to your goal and then to select the best person to take you to the next step. That is short term goal driven project leadership. So Nigel did his job and was trying to take us to the next step but who knows if he would have succeeded. Nicola perhaps couldn't afford the risk and needed to appoint in his opinion the right person to take the project through its next phase.

This new guy may be the dogs b******s but we will only know with time.

All the credit or all the flak will fall on Nicola's head. All I can do is watch and whinge from the sidelines and hope he is right.
