Nicole Cooke, the greatest cyclist the UK has ever produced by a massive margine, retired this week after various years suffering with a knee injury and called doper Armstrong "a disgusting human being". How long before the others above are exposed as well?

    Enough with doping.

They're all at it. The sport is riddled with it.

If half of them are doping, the other half have no chance so they dope up as well to even the score. Stephen Roche was up to his neck in it too.

100%, Hoy will never be caught as maybe the case with Wiggins, Froome will be done imho.

That said look at Messi to see what doping can do. He wasn't born right in some way and Barca pumped him full of human growth hormone and look at the results...

Two more: Francesco Moser and Sean Kelly, they were doped to the eyeballs.

Maybe there is an argument to say "sod it, let all athlete's do it" at least we'd know everyone is on the same footing. If you can't win when clean anyway, what difference does it make?

Plus, I'd love to see Usain Bolt run the 100m jacked up to the max!!!

Was Kelly in on it too?

Sooper, of course I'm not saying its 100% definite that these people are doping. However, its widely acknowledged that professional cycling is rotten to the core. Armstrong said on Oprah that no-one can win anything decent in that sport without being on the juice. Paul Kimmage who is the journalist that initially called out Armstrong said on radio the other day that he believes they're all up to it.

Call me a cynic but I'll never believe in the integrity of that sport.

There is no way on earth the likes of Wiggins etc are at it. Watching the Wiggins documentary makes you realise how hard these people train and how much of their life is dedicated to it! There was a lot of money spent during the London Olympics in particular and the drugs tests were done but a company that would laugh if there was any mentin of bribes!

As I've said before, I think all sportsmen should be allowed to take as many drugs as they like. Who wouldn't want to see a sprinter do the 100 metres in 4.2 seconds, then collapse when his heart explodes?

Widely rumoured back in the day that Kelly was well jacked up.

I have no problems with the likes of Jacques Anquetil or Freddy Maertens who never pretended they were'nt dodgy as **** but the hypocrisy of Armstrong and Wiggins disgusts me.

The great Freddy, absolute legend!: http://bikeraceinfo.com/oralhistory/freddy-maertens.html
