Both good points, but the tank method gives another nasty job to the street cleaners. Launch him into the sun.

I'm not following the rest of your enthusiasm, I'm still bitterly disappointed and the whole situation is wrong

with the new TV deal next season, clubs like Saints will make three times as much from TV as they do from supporters.

In short, they don't actually need us now.

But there is a slight problem that the "product" which is sold overseas, includes the atmosphere's at games, otherwise the Prem would not have flourished.

So, they do need fans... and annoying for clubs, they need the noisy, boisterous fans who make most of the noise.

However, on the flipside again, they know that fans are suckers. They can have their Sky TV deal cake and eat it, by continually upping ticket prices and fans will pay it when they toss out the "loyalty" card that so many swallow hook, line and sinker.

I actually hate myself for loving Saints and football this much. I hate the fact that I have gone batshit mad today about the news. It shows that I still care deeply for a club and a sport that also sickens me in many ways.

QPR fan in peace. Really shocked that Adkins was shown the door. The guy has been great for your team, much like Neil Warnock was for us and we got rid of him at the same time last year. I hope for your sake that your new boss isn't Mark Hughes in disguise. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Yes, it is awful when you lead a team to great success, get them promoted and then the boss puts his hand on your shoulder and says, "sorry, but you are just not quite good enough at this level, thanks for all you have done for us, and goodbye."
I dare say that when Nigel said this to Dean Hammond, he felt that is wasn't an easy conversation, but that is football.

Nigel will always have a place in our hearts in a way that NC probably never will. But if the results go our way, we will learn to forgive him.

    Game played 22 - Points 22 - Points per game 1
    -------------------------------------------------------
    First 11 games - Points 5 - Points per game 0.4545...
    -------------------------------------------------------
    Second 11 games - Points 17 - Points per game 1.5454...
    -------------------------------------------------------
Unbeaten in last 5 league games - Projection 46 points minimum.
    -------------------------------------------------------

Huge upward trend with the team improving every game. Had the Saints continued with 1.54 points per game until the end of the season under Adkins they would have picked up 24.64 points. We'll call that 24pts. 22+24 = 46 pts. That's presuming their would be no further improvement under him. I believe we would have got even better this season especially signing a couple of new names soon. 37 points was enough to survive last season. 13th place was on 45 points.

Let's see how Pochettino fairs then Cortese. The pressures on you ****ing mug

That, CBK, is the most sense you have said all day. Sorry if that sounds like I'm patronising you, it's not intentional.

need to stay behind the team, dont want to get relegated so we must continue our support.
We can cheer on adkins but dont need to be shouting negatives from the stands.
I am upset for nigel (furious initially) and feel this has been handled poorly, he should have been given the season, I believe he would have kept us up.
I just hope for gods sake we dont stop the kids coming through (although they have said it won't) by signing a bunch of average overpaid players from spain and south america a la blackburn.
i like our team as it has character and our players genuinely seem to care about the club. For the most part our first team will be top half prem quality players by the end of this year or next and a couple capable of even more. That in my eyes is Nigels legacy and he can be proud of his achievements. A bookie on sky said he would love him to replace moyes if he were to leave and i believe most hold him in this esteem not just within the saints circle.
In short i love nige but still love the saints.
