It's an absolute disgrace of a decsion, and one that is going to make Cortese very unpopular

Indeed, I've kind of gone through the same process.

 

I like to balance the needs of the many with the needs of the few, and I figure it's in the best interests of mankind that Paul Merson dies a grisly death.

I have calmed down now and it is interesting .

 

Got up bout an hour ago (joys of night shift) and just seen the BBC headline on News24...."Southampton sack Nigel Adkins"

Have to ask the question "Why".

For the first time in years we have had stability at manager level and moving in the right direction...it wasnt broken so why change it. I hope you know what you are doing

 

He was clear and easy to understand in the couple of sentences he said in English, so I suspect his accent won't be a problem when he learns more of the language. He came over as pleasant and personable...if that was all that was needed, we'll be fine. Just seen Merson hoping we go down because of this....hypocrite, he was against us all the time.

 

Media whipping things up now of course. SSN just interviewed some fella from the the independant supporters association, asked if there will be a protest etc. Merson can take a jump too.

 

That's a dreadful thing to say...think of the commuters. Fall off a tall isolated building would be better.

 

The only few upsides to this are, we can pick up some good Spanish and Argentine players hopefully and there will be no stupid subsututions that make us lose the game.

 

Think of the poor street cleaners. Fed to lions would be more convenient.

 

Good logic, hadn't thought of that. However I think announcing to the commuters that Merson had been hit would be enough to get rid of delay stress.

Fran got it. I'm still going through various feelings, but am coming round to the idea.

Mauricio is now the Saints manager, and he's in the boat with us. So lets all do what we can to make sure we stay up.

This sums it up for me!

Those close to Cortese say Pochettino shares his new chairman's ambition and his vision. The Argentine is a young, dynamic manager committed to playing attractive football and building a club that does not want merely to survive in the Premier League but to thrive in it.
Emotion would say it is wrong but sentiment was not a factor; this was a cold-eyed, business decision.

 

... but I had already accepted this after Rupert Lowe sold Saints downstream. This feels like a return to the bad old days, AKA the norm.
