Just to clarify on my previous post:
I have nothing against the new manager.
I will still support my club/attend games.
I want us to avoid relegation.
I will not become someone who boos at games.
But however good a manager MP is, you don't sack a manager who's on a good run and who is loved by all the players and fans. This will lower the morale heavily and I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple go. Relegation IMO looks more likely but of course not a certainty, MP has one hell of a job on his hands!

On a more positive note, we were like this when Pardew was sacked and then we were impressed with his successor. This seems slightly different somehow...

 

You're about the 100th person to say exactly this, it didn't exactly need another thread. Get a grip.

 

It is will be a steep learning curve for him, let us see if his actions speak louder than words, first task is to engage with the players, win that battle and he will win over us the supporters. Get you heads out of the sand and back the Club, the team and the gaffer, together we can survive despite the setbacks, keep the faith, act like grown ups not a bunch of spoilt brats.

No one is moaning at him, its more disgust towards Cortese's decision, If a hobo got offered the job and accepted it i would say fair play to him doesnt mean i have to be happy about it. Same with this doesnt seem like a revelation of a manager but im not mad with him, he got offered a job. Its cortese who i am angry at

How do we know what sort of target was expected of Nigel at the beginning of the season? Wins, draws points etc NC obviously wasn't happy with hes results so far and made changes. A manager is no different than a player he's given a contract and its a job.

Point is Cortese sees this as a business and he has a plan. Nigel was part of it and now it's time to move on. No room for sentiment. Personally I'm totally gutted and I pray as with other decisions NC has made this one is also proved right!

 

Confusion!

 

We have to get behind the players and the new manager, others have said it already but it is hardly the fault of the new guy that Adkins has been sacked. I like pretty much everyone else don't agree with it but the most important thing now is that the fans get behind the manager and the players and that we don't have a negative atmosphere at home like we saw at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Our home games for the rest of the season are mostly against tough opposition and we are going to need to pick up points if we are going to be safe.

 

If 15th in our first season back with top 10 form over the last few months is below target then cortese knows far far less about football than I first thought which was next to nothing! The whole footballing comunity in this coutnry including some of the all time greats and people who know the game inside out agree its a ridiculous decision lets just accept cortese is off his rocker.
