If we sign Graham or Hooper or both where will Grant Holt be in the pecking order to start a game? Will either want to play second fiddle to each other or to Holt? Perhaps we will go 4-4-2 with any two of the three starting?

how about 4-3-3 with all three starting and very little midfield. (tongue in cheek post).

Yeah, screw width <laugh>. Let's play narrow and have a Tettey-Johnson-Fox central midfield, with Hooper-Holt-Graham up top.

is lambert style gangnam style with a lot of rambling in incomprehensible scotish, with a few fist pumps and running along the touch line chucked in?

I think 7mil will be enough, but would he leave Celtic this window... I doubt it!

i don't think we are far away from hooper's valuation at £5m. i know its been rejected but it does make you wonder if hooper pushes for a move, how much more will we have to pay? my guess is, assuming he does want to come (and i doubt we'd have bid had we not had assurances of some description that we can afford him, his wages and he wants to come) then i agree with holty's boots, £7m will prise him away from parkhead. his contract is running down next summer and its no secret that he wants to move to england and not re-sign.

To me, that sounds like Hooper wants to move, whether the right bid comes in or not, so Celtic may be forced into selling below their valuation.

But is he worth £7M Supers ? I'm not so sure and even more unsure that we would spend that amount on one player ?

It's not a perfect indication, but here's what transfermarkt values some of the players we've currently been linked to at:

    Hooper: £4.4m
    Graham: £3.5m
    CMS: £2.2m
    Berg: £2.2m
    Kayal: £3.1m
    Bridcutt: £0.65m

So based on that, Celtic might be after maybe £9m for Hooper, which I think would be beyond us. Bridcutt is valued at less than I thought though.

    And of our current strikers:
    Holt: £3.5m
    Morison: £2.6m
    Jackson: £1.3m
    Vaughan:£1.3m

Nope don't think he did. They had a lot of youngsters and only a handful of first teamers

If we sign anyone I am certain it will go. It is staggering really that we are competitive in the prem with our highest ever transfer fee at 3.5 mil. Especially when you compare that to other clubs, even the smaller sides have spent huge amounts.
