Well it's snowing here in Gloucester! Now will I make it to work tonight<yikes> I will have to check to see if my base is open later, pointless making the journey otherwise;)

Morning all from a snowing bandit country - just started and settling nicely. Been to Tesco and got supplies in so I am set fair if it continues - will be making a big pan of vegetable soup with a few chilli's and lentils this afternoon. Hopefully it will not e too bad and I can get to The Vic tomorrow..

Morning all, snowing here as well. Started as very fine stuff, but has gradually become heavier and now the lane is becoming white. The forecast suggests that it will turn to freezing rain this afternoon, but we will see.

Picture postcard snow here - only about an inch but not a single car has traveled along the lane and the puppy thinks she has gone to heaven

Can't see the match happening if I'm honest. The pitch will be fine, but given the amount of ground between the Vic, Met, Junction and the town centre I reckon the council or police will have it called off.

On the bright side if the football is called off I won't have to keep my promise that I'd go to the last ever Saracens game at Vicarage Road (one-sided rugby games are just awful, and the cold won't make it any better).

Stopped snowing now and the lane has cleared. ;) Wouldn't say it is warm yet.

More hot drinks to keep you warm means more trips to the loo with cold hands. <yikes>

4/5 inches of snow here. Mrs H has abandoned her planned London trip. If it freezes tonight it could be very difficult to get out of the lane tomorrow. It was a bit of a torrent before the snow.

Just when you think football has reached a new level of insanity, it manages to rise (or is it sink?) to a new level - Soton sacking Nigel Atkins and appointing who? is utter madness. I know there are some who post on here that have a dislike of Soton but personally I am fairly indifferent - but I really hope they get relegated now.

5 Live is obsessed with Lance Armstrong today and have had non-stop programmes about him - funny how that don't seem to spend 10% of that time on Jimmy Saville and their role in allowing him to abuse children

Snowy Castlethorpe looking a picture. Glad I can just sit here and watch it! As long as it doesn't mean I can't get to my band rehearsal tomorrow morning- an oasis of musical abandon in my otherwise quiet week.

We are a covers band, and the main men keep coming up with suggestions for new stuff to try. I've been refreshing my memory on Kaiser Chief's 'Ruby', and then it was suggested that the singer wanted to have a crack at 'Angels'. So off I go to Youtube, to discover very belatedly what a fine performer that young Mr Williams is!

I was in the Tesco restaurant for lunch and the waitress asked if I wanted anything on my burger. So I said, 'Sure, a fiver each way'."

I have never been pro or anti Southampton but agree with you yellow - I now hope they go down -they have lost only 2 of their last 10 games, are climbing out from the foot of the table and got a good draw at Chelsea - so they sack their manager - sneseless

Credit where it's due, Angels probably was his high point.

On the Saints, I'll be very interested in seeing how many season tickets they sell if they go down this season. <whistle>

Oh well, as the rugby in Ponty is postponed I only have to worry about going to the ice hockey in Cardiff tomorrow. Apparently all the roads between Edinburgh and Cardiff will be clear so this means that the Capitals will be able to make it down. Apparently as part of the pre-match tomorrow will be renditions of "Flower of Scotland" and "Land of my Fathers" by bagpipes!

Hampshire, what's the forecast for there as I'm flying into Southampton on the red-eye.

AS supporters would expect, Watford Football Club is going through its extensive pre-match planning and preparations to ensure Hornets' fans get to enjoy Watford v Huddersfield Town at Vicarage Road tomorrow (3pm kick-off).

There is steady snowfall at the present time. The Hornets will be salting and gritting all club-owned areas inside and outside the stadium, including access points which lead to and adjoin public roads.

The Vicarage Road playing surface has a covering of snow on it, however the pitch's undersoil heating system means that this would not cause any issue with the condition of the pitch surface.

it's very white out there, but the snow has stopped...i'll be gutted if there's no match tomorrow but it does look increasingly unlikely.

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak.

I do wonder if i'll be able to work on Sunday...i hope so!
