I hope AP McCoy's not on board him at any point. He'll launch hiom and then end up pegging it to Ascot.

I just can't see him turning up at any other race that the Coral. Firstly, he won the race last year and so given that connections know he's capable in that race is a massive factor in my eyes. Secondly, he's completely unproven over 3 miles and I just cannot see connections taking the Pertemps route over a trip that he is unproven over. Far too risky for a plot horse. The Martin Pipe Conditional is the only other logical race I can think of. However, given last year the owner took £900k and is clearly planning another gamble then surely he'll want Jason Maguire in the saddle as opposed to an apprentice.

Obviously I could be wrong but that is part and parcel of antepost but the 33s currently available for him will not be there come the day if he lines up.

BTW, in response to all the QPR hatred on here (for which you can all FO) I hope todays dispicable sacking of Nigel Adkins by the muppets in charge at Southampton deflects some of the ire in their direction. The man had brilliantly dragged them up with next to no money (by todays standards) from League One to fifteenth in the Premier League. Replaced by a non English speaking Argentinian nobody! SFC, you deserve to go down!

You are correct Stickles. Southampton are a joke. He'll have to start again in the Championship. Poor fella.

Son of Flicka - ROTO, the only concern I have is they've gone down the conditional route before at Cheltenham and got mugged. If they can't get his mark down to last years level they could go there again. Only a small concern as I agree the Coral is the obvious route. The owner gambled him both times so if McCain is comfortable with the conditional doing the job the option is certainly there to be considered.

I don't hate QPR - I know a lot of their fans and some drive me mad so for their benefit I'd laugh if you went down but equally I ike most o them so for them i'd like to see you stay up. I should have been a liberal democrat <laugh>

The business at southmpton is shocking. Getting sick and tired of decent and honest men getting the bullet as a knee jerk reaction. We did it last year with Sean dyche and it's a disgraceful way to act.

    FAO STICK:

Stick, I sent you a (non-threatening) PM some days ago, which seems to have got rejected because "Stick's Mailbox is full and cannot accept further messages". If you could clear out those topless pictures of Stan Bowles, it might get through.

I now want southampton to get relegated too after this awful decision. So thats QPR, Southampton and Newcastle for the drop please! <laugh>

I wonder what Blackburns owners are thinking....as hard as they try another club keeps coming up with a way to make a decision more stupid and ridiculous than what they can come up with! <laugh>

Was he gambled with two years ago as I can't remember the betting markets. Least not forget that they got mugged by Sir Des Champs off a 6lb higher mark so they were very unlucky to run into such a good horse! I don't think he'll have any issue off a mark of 137 and I don't think the 2lb will make a difference to his chances. Last years 2nd Get Me Out Of Here had finished 2nd to Zarkander off 4lb lower mark the start before the Coral Cup (155 in the Coral) and won a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse on his next start so he clearly beat a horse in belting form at the time. Also, the Coral Cup is a more prestigious race than the Conditional (where PP are the only bookie to price him up) so I presume that would be factored into the decision as well. Moreover, I think now Henry Brooke has lost his claim is a massive factor as I can't really see what jockey would ride him in that race. At the end of the day, he won me quite a lot of money at the Festival last year and I have absolutely no issue losing a few quid at 33s if he doesn't turn up but I would be surprised if he didn't.

Lets have a bet in the first at Dundalk. Looking through the field all bar a couple look four orfive pounds too high in the weights. KNOCK STAR looks the obious one but at 2-1 that is way too skinny so I am going to take a chance with THATS A FRET 8-1 5.50 Dundalk. This seven year old has come back from a mini break and run two decent races. He is a C&D winner off a mark of 69 as recently as last March so even though he races from 1lb out of the handicap he still looks pretty well treated off 64. Looks the perfect each way interest in an eight runner affair.

...hear, hear! Again, please FO politely you QPR whackers, preferably to Leeds, Liverpool, or Southampton........LOL.

Oh, Happy Birthday Red, have a goodun despite the weather! Frigging cold darn sarf here. They do a good job on the pavements and roads but they're still treacherous, and there'll be more than a few busted hips and legs, etc., no doubt. <yikes>

Already backed this one e/w. On top of what you said, he was only beaten 1L in 3rd in this race last year off a mark of 71.
