    GHF Ring Adkins now!!!

What a bunch of stupid coonts. The guy has taken them from obscurity to the prem ,and the way he had them playing (After a bad start) would probably have saved them this season. What do the owners expect when most of the squad were in L1 2 seasons ago. They added players but not top players as that would be stupid. They were doing it bit by bit and have a good academy as Arsenal know only too well. Lambert will be next out now as the new guy won't like a proper centre forward

I hope they go down and go the same way as Blackburn. Terrible decision.

As stated, GFH should go and get Adkins right away. He would be ideal, and now is the time to get him in. Warnock will be gone end of season anyway, and he is not improving the club so change now and give Adkins the chance to build.

Don't think now is quite the right time to pension Warnock off. But if GFH were to say to Warnock that he was only ever planning 1 season & how would he feel about resigning now to be adviser to Adkins for the rest of the season before hanging up his wallcharts etc, presentationally it would look better. Adkins would also be a very good choice as a successor to Warnock. He'd have to lose his irritating Scouse accent. But other than that, a fine manger.

Cr%p decison by Saints, & as someone above said, I now hope they go down.

Get him immediately. Guarantee he wont be unemployed for long. We know we need a replacement in June, no point in waiting. Cant we make Warnock vice president for the five months to keep him happy

"Adkins twice broke the club's transfer record last summer, first by signing striker Jay Rodriguez from Burnley for a reported fee of £7m...................."

He may have to make a few adjustments if he comes here :emoticon-0106-cryin

YWBK, so let me understand this, you are not entirely convinced of his suitability to be Leeds United manager? I think thats what you meant, but you sit so much on the fence its hard to work out. You ought to learn to be a bit clearer.

Dont agree mate. This is a massive loss to saints and its going to be someone's gain. I'm on the fence with Warnock but lets act now and get someone in with the drive and passion that we all used to associate with Warnock, because he's not the same old bastard everyone used to hate & I do wonder after being ****ed around so much if his heart is still in the job. Atkins will have a point to prove wherever he lands and I dont expect him to be short of offers.

    haha thats the one 2020

He has had a lot of backing and is very over rated, we need someone to come in build a footballing side that can progress in the premiership as well as get us out of the Champ.

I would love Zola think Watford have a strong counter attacking side who pass it well.

Adkins assemblemed a great squad to get them to the prem from league one, and they never played hoofball. Outlets were to the wing and the ball to feet, Warnock would never play football like that with a player like Lambert in his team.

He spent a in the prem granted, but everyone does. I liked him at Scunthorpe and I think he is infectious. Players seem to respond to him and Korteze (sic) (saints chairman I believe) there has always been talks about a hidden agenda & he was trying to force signings & be a bit to hands on. Maybe Southampton are after a yes man, I couldnt comment as I dont know what there replacement is like but it was obviously lined up a while ago, as saints league form hasnt been half bad.

Either way a very bad move from a saints perspective IMO. Fans round here are going ****ing mental about it.

The twats did the same thing with cockney twat, and the fans went mental and I don't blame them. Cockney twat then nearly took the geordies into Europe. The dickhead down there is worse than bent Rupert Lowe and thats saying something. Whothefuck is this spic nobody's heard of, because he lost his job in November, and was obviously tapped up immediately, but Adkins has had the saints playing well, scoring and winning points. Suppose they expected him to be near the bottom by now, but they're so fooking wrong.

    Bye bye saints, you're dropping

Massive difference with Pardew. He was a massive piss head turning up late stinking of booze and was a right party boy. The board wouldnt overlook it after awhile and sacked him. He then went on to do blinding at newcastle, but there in for a hard season this year but what would he care? They game him a seven year contract I believe! So if he loses the next 5 games on a trot he's won the lottery. Madness.

If we can get him I'd be over the moon, the fact YWBK will be pissed off would be a bonus :)

I know stats can lie but anyone look at his win %'s ? Over 50%

Zola's not that good a manager. He showed that at West Ham. He has the entire Udinese and Granada reserve teams playing for him at Watford (and there's some very good players in there) which is why they're doing well, not because of his managerial ability.

Any idea what his record is for trying to promote youth/young players? I've never really paid any attention to the Soton squad and it's their oldies that seem to get the goals.

Agree what your saying there, but Zola has to have credit for getting them to gel in a brand new team in a brand new country and playing good football.
