Been reading that this story has been taken down on a variety of other sites... could this be the reason why Hulk jumped the ship and why Paul is acting like a pleb?

    Economic turmoil for Mallya

Force India "is in crisis" and it is possible the Silverstone based team "could collapse".

That is the claim of the Italiaracing magazine, who correctly reported some years ago that Pirelli would become the sport's new tyre supplier.

Now, the Italian publication is reporting from sources that Vijay Mallya - Force India's embattled owner who has lost his billionaire status - is experiencing "severe economic difficulties with his companies".

Mallya's troubles with Kingfisher, his grounded Indian airline, are well known, but the 57-year-old also controls United Breweries, and F1 team Force India.

Italiaracing claims that, in recent days, F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone has "activated a plan to save the (Force India) team."

The sources mentioned the possibility of a return to F1 for Colin Kolles, the team boss who in the wake of the Silverstone based team Jordan's demise some years ago led the subsequent incarnations Spyker and Midland, and finally Force India.

As head of HRT, Kolles left F1 at the end of 2011, a year before the Spanish team's collapse under new management.

Italiaracing also mentioned the former Renault chief and well-known Ecclestone ally Flavio Briatore, who has been out of F1 since the 'crashgate' scandal.

If Colin Kolles is linked with coming back then they really are in trouble.

Am I about to be correct in a Bianchi - Sutil lineup? I'm sure these 2 can gather more money than Paul to save the team which is priority number 1.

Even scarbs has had his mouth shut, cant even say the team name lol!

    Scarbs on twitter
"Hearing worrying news this morning about team finances ahead of the new season. Fingers crossed for a full grid"
"I'm not going to name the teams in rumoured financial trouble, I think they have enough to be focussing on
    ."

Some comments make you laugh quite a lot hahaha.

I mentioned before that Kingfisher owed people a lot of money, in India they grounded his planes in protest. What a scenario it would be if they couldn't make it.
No wonder a certain driver line up has not been announced, HRT has also gone.

Have to say I did wonder if there was something behind the driver line-up delay that went beyond their PR guff.

FI could need two pay drivers to see them through.

Bianchi may bring in Ferrari money, but as Sutil and di Resta can;t bring in much, step forward Bruno Senna?

If Bernie has a plan to save Force India, then HRT should feel very aggrieved. It's too much power for one man! Why should he get to decide how many teams are on the grid alone? He came out and said he'd like 10 competitive teams, so I bet if Caterham or Marussia were to have problems the support he can allegedly offer Force India would not be there either.

Indeed that who I was thinking as a 3rd option. Maybe even Ferrari buy out and make it their new B-Team? Bit like Toro Rosso?

Because HRT do not have any fans, where as FI can be used to get to the Indian market which is most important.

Surely Sahara will take over if Mallya has to go. I don't believe the story and anyway, Di Resta recently had a seat fitting.

Yes for SFI, which if it does collapse, the contract also collapses with it making him redundant.

I thought Force India got £50 million pumped in to them not so long ago?

Fairly quick response on Force India's behalf to a seemingly new story?

yack yack yack and the torries said the UK would get a referendum to leave the EU and now he is ****ting bricks. Just because he says they're not in the crapper, doesn't mean they're not close to it already.
