never mind always, things could be worse...just ask McCammon <whistle>

by the way Port Vale is now also called off vs Bradford, like I expect most others to be by tomorrow lunch time...except for brb's beloved premier division and most of the championship that is :emoticon-0113-sleep

I have to clear my own driveway - I couldn't afford to pay McCammon's wages

As things turned out it probably could have been played. I've not had any news officially on the state of the pitch yesterday, but temeratures overnight on Friday were only just below zero, and were just above zero yesterday - in fact still above zero (not by much but a positive is a positive) at 10.00 pm yesterday. Conditions that pitch covering should have coped with without too much of a problem.

That said, I think that postponment was the correct decision as on Friday morning it was impossible to GUARANTEE that the match would be able to go ahead, and as travelling conditions from the South-East to up here were obviously not going to be easy, and I'm pretty sure that the Gills squad would have travelled up on Friday, so an early decision enabled those plans to be postponed as well.

But there is a growing fixture backlog, and let's hope that by the time these games are played the winning habit has returned.
