they were on hunger strike to gain political prisoner status not criminal status, hence why they refused to wear prison (criminal) uniforms, so if maggie would have granted political status theyd have come off the hunger strike.... it was given eventually

 

Well, as I say, I don't know enough about the issue but I do know that sometimes people have to take up arms for the greater good as they see it. I'm not saying this is the case with Bobby but things are seldom black and white.

Well, I've learnt a little today. I'm ashamed not to know more and maybe when I get time I'll read up a little. As for Thatcher, people dying never caused her to lose a moments sleep.
