Only thing I can think off is Cortese didn't think Adkins could get the big names. How do we not know Ramirez etc new about a new manager coming in Jan?.

 

You'll also be the ones who will be cooing over Pochettino if he does well this season & next.

Manchester United fan in peace, gutted for you guys, Atkins seemed like a top man and manager.

Reading through this thread is like watching a car crash happen in slow motion, I don't know what your chairman was thinking to do this in mid-January, at least wait until the end of the season.

I live in South Africa and Terry Paine is one of our football pundits every weekend, I'm keen to see what he says about the whole situation...

As like many of you, i was left in shock, and pretty gutted this morning about the news of Adkins being sacked. Despite the board thinking we should be doing better than we are, he has done more for this club in his few years here than many of his predecessors.

This said, Many people are already planning their "boycott missions" and no doubt the obligatory chants lined up for monday night, voicing their disgust towards NC.

I sincerely hope that the people who are planning this, who can only be described as idiots, keeps the opinions to them selves when were playing as the team need all the support going at the moment! In recent form were not doing half bad at all, and as proven from our last two seasons, when we get on a roll, we can pull of some decent results.

Everton is a massive game for us monday (like every other game in this league) so please, keep your boos, songs and any other forms of negativity for another day. Monday is about the 11 out on the pitch, and hopefully close to 30,000 in the seats, myself included, supporting our boys to hopefully another vital 3 points.

Bollocks to that, I am driving down now to Mondays (weather permitting)match to show my opinion? The players I would expect are pissed off as well, we are so compliant and polite as Southampton fans, why? What would other clubs fans do? Protest, what do we want to do? Have a cup of tea and believe everything is alright.

 

A very odd decision and imagine the uproar if you go down now over this decision.
