Will be a toughie this, They've got Chelsea away tomorrow night though which should be an advantage but we said the same about Swansea on Saturday and look what happened. no idea if Mirallas will be fit or not, probably not but I put him in my fantasy _________________Howard_____________ ___Coleman___Jagielka__Distin___Baines__ ____________Neville___Osman__________ _______Anichebe___Fellaini____Pienaar___ ________________Jelavic_______________ Think we all know that will likely be the team, swap Anichebe for Mirallas if fit.
They've hit a bit of form, so it'll be another tough away. However, if we want to consider ourselves as serious contenders for the 4th CL place, then it's the type of game that we have to be taking 3 points from.
According to the Echo, Mirallas is back in training but may not be risked against Southampton. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/ever...ecover-from-hamstring-injury-100252-32608632/ Well, at least he's back in training.
I'd like to think we can bag a win at Southampton I think them being home they will come at us somewhat which will suit us rather than sit and we struggle to break them down..
It's a shame our game against Chelsea wasn't at the bridge, fat Spanish waiter doesn't seem to do well there. Tonight just backs up how difficult this will be to get 3 points from though.
Hi, Saints fan in peace and buzzing after tonights result. The players will be full of confidence on Monday night and we've only lost twice in 12 league games so you will have to play well to get something out of the game. Should be a good game and good luck with the rest of your season (apart from Monday of course).
Hi mate, I'll have a gander at the saints board whenever the match thread goes up. Good fight back and a really good point for you tonight, you got a tough number of fixtures coming up so your players need to be up for it. I don't think any blues apart from the idiots every club has thinks this will be an easy game. We've had an extra break though and only only lost 3 league games all season (City only lost less) so a draw might be a likely result. Think some of our bigger players (Fellaini and Baines in particular) will have to come up with the good if we are to win that match.
This will be a difficult game; Jelavic is the sort of precise striker we struggle with, and if he finishes his chances you could be up big within 45 minutes. If we can get on the front foot though, it could be an extremely entertaining game...would not surprise me if five or six goals are scored. Have a soft spot for Everton, so I hope that you can push for the top four, even if I hope that you don't get any further assistance from Saints.
I just hope we smash your kopite manager and kopite striker to be honest. Only joking, I think you have a fair few good little players, the full backs, Lallana, Cork, Lambert amongst others so it won't be easy. be afraid though, you'll have to face all our new signings (none) on Monday
So Southampton with back to back promotions, having now stabilised their position in the PL, losing only 2 out of their last 12 in the league & fresh off the back of a great away point at the current European Champions............sack their manager & employ a fella who was sacked in November with his side bottom of the league in Spain Hopefully the players & fans will be royally hacked off come Monday.
Usually you'd say the reverse, but in this case I can see the atmosphere being very edgey. If we score an early goal it'll no doubt prompt vocal abuse of their owner from the terraces.
Might all be redundant anyway however. I've heard they have had burst pipes in the under soil heating system so the game might not go ahead.
The Daily Fail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...all-matches-postponed-snow.html#ixzz2IKUG9Wj5 "One Premier League game is also at risk with Southampton reported to have suffered burst pipes to their undersoil heating."
