    The trouble is that it doesn't matter a jot how good Pochettino is - he won't be given any chance from a VERY angry fanbase.

    Couldn't put it better myself. Cortese knew exactly what the fans would think and did it anyway. We'll be the ones left when he gets bored and ****s off why for once can't we be treated with respect. Especially as most of us know far more about football than him. It just beggars belief.

    It really hurts me to say this but I am not giving Cortese another penny of my money. I am not going to go to another game for the foreseeable future and I will not support this new coach.

    I feel sick, literally. If I feel like that how on earth are the players going to feel. I'm putting a bet on relegation. Then Cortese will probably go and take his money with him and then we are back where we were.

    Maybe I'm being melodramatic but I can't see it any other way at the moment.

    I'll say it again, if the fans had their way, Adkins would never have been appointed in the first place.

    In the fullness of time we can judge this decision, anyone tying their colours to the mast now is doing so very prematurely.

    Have to say, yeh it's a sad day for the club. Hope the fans give the new guy a chance.

    Strange as Pochettino spent 3 years at Espanyol, and was sacked in November with the club bottom of La Liga! - with nine points from 13 games. Doesn't give much confidence, hey?
