I think it's all bullshit - a few tweets that spread like wildfire and all of a sudden it's a done deal. I'm going sledging instead of reading all the rumours.

 

I actually cannot believe this if it's true.

 

IF he goes, will probably be the final nail in the coffin for me. I don't support this club for it to be a "brand" or to be a "customer" and all the other Premiership bullshit. I can just about swallow it if I still feel the club has some decency about it, but that would go if Cortese does the dirty on Nigel.

 

I heard he is coming in as a defensive coach. Still just a rumour but I prefer this one.

 

Hi each have been a saints supporter for a very long time...........almost treble another posters tally. Over the years our managers at Southampton football club no matter who has at sometime been in the presses eye for leaving the club. Some because someone else is after them some because the results are not so good some because they are supposedly fed up. There isn't an excuse for us losing our manager that hasn't been used before, all so frequently.
In all honesty I just cannot see us losing our Nigel.
However it is true that he is not a well known manager in the big wide world of football. That could be the reason that Cortese has difficulty in persuading high profile people coming to Saints. Now if he had a director of football of the ilk of the the Argentine fellow do you not think that might make a difference? Thought I would just throw that into the bowl..

 

That would be much nicer. Just can't fathom how anyone would think sacking Nigel is a good idea.

 

I don't understand this point of view at all. The club is bigger than one man. Pochettino might be the most inspired managerial appointment since, well, Adkins. I'll be just as disappointed as you if Adkins is dismissed, but whoever replaces him isn't to blame and needs our backing.

I can't believe this at all. Pochettino isn't that well known either but he's not going to take a job like this.
