    ------------------------Reina-------
    Jonhnson-----Skrtel------Agger-------Enrique
    -----------------------Lucas----------------
    ------------Gerrard------Sneijder------------------
    Suarez----------Sturridge------Borini/Sterling-

does look mouth watering that lineup, but would it be as good as it looks on paper, and will the owners risk the money to find out? hope so, but i don't take a lot of notice of the press any ways with the amount of **** that comes out of them.

  4. We'd be far too exposed with that line-up. The front five players would obviously get forward but so would both fullbacks leaving Agger, Skrtel and Lucas to deal with the opposition. Plus, Suarez, Gerrard and Sneijder would all try to get in the hold and exploit the space. Make it a 4231 and move Gerrard back alongside Lucas and tell him to play from deep.

    Reina
    Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
    Gerrard - Lucas
    Suarez - Sneijder - Sterling
    Sturridge

Will you lot stop it with your possible formations!
I don't want my hopes raised...
Part of me wants this to happen, if we can get him for a decent fee and get him to take a pay cut
Another part of me doesn't want anything to do with this deal, he's injury prone (played very few games over the last 2/3 years) and could to be another (albeit a more skill) Joe Cole! And as the habit of being a bit of a disruptive influence...

this on paper looks amazing doens't it....

practically though it lacks the thing i keep on woolgathering about. where's the effort, workrate, discipline in it?

rafa had one thing, defensvie ability. mascherano, alonso in midfield, kuyt wide. he's not trust anoyone else wide like he did kuyt.

can you see gerrard run like alonso, do the things that make a real difference to the team but are hidden to the average person? would suarez (orr sturridge) really play wide right and track back to help johnson?... I can only see that when johnson goes forwards netiehr suarez nor gerrard would step in.

    anyway.....

suarez in a 4-3-3 means you need a genuine midfield 3 to allow the fornt three do their thing and have full backs pushed on... we seems not to be doing a genuine 3 push pushing someone forward to presss al lthe time... then holding wide forwards back defensively.

    That is a serious team.

Don't know what all the worry is about with our fans! If the owners decide to do it then let them do it. He is absolute class!

MITO - we need a bigger squad - Shelvey & Henderson give us that luxury as they can do a job in the league when we need them (injuries, fitness etc) and will be handy to have in Europe and FA Cup.

  10. Didn't realise it was and I'm sat talking to the caretaker who is a Forest fan, normally can't wait to tell me <laugh>

I think he's a bit down beat with Forest at the minute. Replacing the manager (after a win) with McCleish followed by a big change in the board room, its completely arse about tit!

  12. Can't argue with that MITO, it certainly lacks the energy which is why I said we would have to tell Gerrard to play deep.

I still think we'd be better off with Suarez staying in the F9 position with the two wide players getting ahead of him but this needs more energy in midfield than the 4231 I put above <yikes>

If Sneijder arrives, where does that leave the 'Welsh Xavi'.
