As for wyett, isn't he the only journo that has any type of link to us and usually when he says something its usually correct, we may never find out but I believe him more than nursey who does work for the mirror.
i have to jump in here. charlie wyatt is a terrific journalist. he is a norwich fan and unlike the mirror's james nursey, actually knows what is happening at the club. he is very well informed and he is right way more often than he is wrong on all football matters. i know charlie quite well and he doesn't report stuff about our club if he's not been given the go-ahead by the club. he's been in trouble with things like that before and because he plays by the rules now, he is more privy and first to stories. it doesn't mean we'll get either player but if he says we've made official approaches for both players then that is what has happened.
I bow to your greater knowledge Superman, (and that is not a piss-take), shows we have real ambition whether we get either player or not
i blew my top the other day when people were suggesting we weren't interested in players and not showing any ambition... well now, they look stupid and all because they weren't patient. these things take time and as i mentioned above, games are played when trying to secure decent players. you don't just lodge a bid, hope it gets accepted and then the player signs! ground work needs to be done, agents contacted etc. i suspect (and its only my suspicion - i have no insider knowledge of what is going on here) we've had to wait until we are 100% sure that graham is interested and we can afford personal terms with his agent whilst hooper is probably still not quite there on agreement and can't decide whether to come - therefore we've launched a bid for graham to speed any potential hooper deal along a bit. i doubt we'd sign both but this probably increases considerably our chances of signing one of them.
Think id prefer it if we got either Graham or Hooper AND Kayal this way we would have a striker who can score and who can "take over" from Holt and a combative midfielder who can also pick a pass. Wouldnt complain if we got DG and Hoops though!
agree bedford. don't get me wrong, like you i won't be complaining if we get both but kayal would fit snuggly into our midfield and add extra quality.

i don't think we've bid for kayal. when charlie said last night that we'd bid £5m for a second player i was hopeful it would be kayal but i can't exactly say i'm devastated if its hooper! just think we need a little more bite and creativity in the centre of the park, and he would give us that
