i have no idea! i've never met danny graham so i don't know what he's like, but if i slagged off ipswich town i doubt i'd feel comfortable signing for them! he's going to leave swansea though by the sounds of it, so we have nothing to lose if we launch a bid. depends if the manager has him on his 'list'. we don't actually know if he does! i know i would...!!
I'd like to see us sign DG. If my memory serves me correctly, didn't Marc tierney once say, "I'll never play for Norwich City" after PL left ColWho???
Tweedeledum on the move, while Tweedledee's club are close to calling in administrators http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21047858
Hmm sounds like we are interested in DG then. If it is true a bid has been put in and in the region of 5mil do people feel thats good business? Good player I'd say 5 mil sounds about right
I think 5mil is about right, i'd have liked us to have signed him when he left Watford, excellent peice of bussiness if it comes off , im still really not getting why Swans are letting him go?
Even though I'm dead against the idea of having Swansea's seconds as mentioned on here earlier I don't understand why they're getting rid of him. We need two strikers so he would be a worthy addition to the squad, I really do want us to purchase that special player for the future though be it in the January window or in the Summer we need that bit of extra quality.
Of the British players mentioned, Danny Graham is by far the best one for me, whilst for a player of his ability 5 million is steep, for a British player I think its quite a good deal. As for why Swansea are letting go so readily given his recent goals, I'd say they have a much better foreigner lined up at a cheaper price.
Sorry I thought Sunderland had bid, which is daft considering the way the conversation was going. As for 6 million for Jones going to Swansea, I think Laudrup must be doing his level best to ruin Swansea if he thinks thats a good deal.
My money is not on Swansea wanting to sell him, rather the player wanting to move back up north, hence my belief he'll end up at the Toon or even the Mackems. Love to be wrong though!
I fear I agree with you Tony. Seems likely that he'll end up in the north east. But, I'd be delighted if he did join us, he's a decent player who knows how to score goals in the Prem. Far rather that than a foreigner with an exotic name who once scored 15 goals in a season in the Icelandic third division. Grant Holt and Danny Graham - good, solid blokes names. Can't go wrong.
Not so sure that graham is a big enough name for the Newcastle fans - and the mirror have made it much more difficult for him to end up in red and white by reporting his grumble at Sunderland a few years back...Got a good feeling about this...
