    Take a walk Brendan.

Well said about the United-controlled media and FA too, Luis. Outside this country the whole world can see it.

    Legend Luis.

Not sure if he had any option really! don't think he's bothered that it was a dive but Luis needs to keep his mouth shut sometime's. He keeps getting caught out and it makes the club look stupid(maybe even part of the reason KK got sacked). Brenden is trying not to fall into the same trap which he he completely justified in doing, lets just hope the FA don't get involved as we know their not Luis's biggest admirers.

    Ferguson.

Controlled the BBC tv sport until they grovelled to have a meeting with him to iron out their differences after they had proved his lad was making money out of Utd t/fers.
Controlled BBC radio 5 by banning one of their commentators(Alan Green)from OT.
Controls what questions are asked of him before his utd conferences.
Controls which members of 'the media' are allowed into those conferences.

    Suarez 1-0 Utd/Fergie

Wish I could use that Photoshop thing. I'd love t put Luis' face onto Dick Dastardly's figure. I'd make a t-shirt out of it and send it to Slurguson.

    Put Evra's face onto Muttley.

    Well said <ok>

Since when did we all become Chelsea fans?

It's fair enough to criticise individual decisions Rodgers makes but he's a young manager who needs to learn. Suarez is a good player, but he can't keep his mouth shut. Fair enough it comes with the territory but BRs working for essentially PR people so what's he supposed to do? He mumbles something to the hacks about disciplining him then gives him a half arsed slap on the wrist and is laughing and joking with him in training tomorrow.

For all the complaints about Rodgers he has at least got Suarez firing (so far). Maybe you should look at it from a different angle Donga. Shouldn't Suarez have a certain responsibility to stop dropping his managers in the **** and giving them awkward situations to deal with. You can tell the world you cheated as much as you like once you're retired from the game.

    Back your manager.....Our manager.

I thought that as well. So Suarez makes a point to the press and in so doing puts Rodgers in a position whereby he has no option bit to discipline him. Big Deal!

Tomorrow Rodgers says to Suarez "you,ve been a naughty boy and a fined 1 weeks wages (less you personal bonus'). Suarez replies "Sorry Boss", Rodgers smiles and covering his mouth with his hand adds "but you were right on the United thing". Suarez goes away thinking "These Brits are crazy!!" End of Matter.

I do back him, but he did have another option in this case - ignore it. i don't normally agree with Herbert, but I didn't see Moyes publicly admonish neville, and Ferguson positively supports his diving players. His bigger point was that the media/FA/United control the decision making and catagorisation of who is and isn't a cheat, and brendan should be applauding that and should be SEEN to be endorsing that.

Anything else is Woy style Ferguson rimming.

C'mon Donga: whether its true or not I want a manager who thinks the Fergie media games are beneath him. Like it or not it takes a sharp nasty wit to match Fergie in that arena, why play a game that doesn't need to be played? Let your players, ex players turned pundits & fans come out with that crap, you appear unruffled by anything Alex does or says. Take BR's response to Mansfield owners; laugh " I think they had a few drinks that night" THAT'S the kind of response I want. In fact that one line could probably be used by Brendan every time Fergie opens his mouth lol.

As for Suarez and the dive comments he left BR no choice. After making a very public defence of Suarez & staking his own reputation with the referees, Brendan has the legs cut out from under him with one throw away comment. Forget Fergie; now every ref in the land has the excuse to carry on putting reputation before actual incident because Suarez himself confirmed their opinion of him. When he next gets kicked to the ground, the ref will ignore it & the commentators & pundits will discuss at length was it a dive & now Brendan can't say a damn thing about it. Worse, Suarez has just negated every effort he has made in the last two months to show he doesn't go down easy. Great player, but he has one hell of a self destruct button on him & to defend it at all costs only encourages further controversy and that isn't good for the club which comes before Suarez or BR!

And for what? A dig at Fergie that he'll laugh at as his players polish another PL medal?

If Suarez wants to hurt Fergie & Co. shut the **** up and double your score rate & get us up that table.

I wish players would just keep their gobs shut. With a few exceptions they're not the brightest bunch, and the media are past masters at twisting anything out of shape when it suits them.
It's difficult enough for someone like Suarez to avoid their attentions as it is, why hand them copy on a bloody plate?
I agree with those who say BR will criticize him in public but it won't mean much in private.
What else is the manager to do? Say that the club condones diving?
Why on earth the club lets them do these interviews is beyond me.

His bigger point was true and we all know it but that's the whole point. Suarez (and the rest of us) can complain until the cows come home but it won't change a thing. It's a battle you can't win (ask Benitez) and one that will now attract the wolves back to feed.

Does a young manager like Rodgers need to be drawn into a battle with Fergie? No, he needs to be concentrating on improving our team. Suarez needs to concentrate on letting his feet do the talking not his mouth. If he wanted to get at Fergie he should have played better on Sunday.
