£40k a week is canny sweetener mind.

For that amount I'd wear a craa shirt and swear I was born in Wallsend until the day I left.

This was my thought as well, but on the series of tweets re the OP, he goes onto say how himself, Reid and Murray did not want him to leave and it wasn't about the money he was offered.

He also went onto imply that there were other issues. Check it out if you can, I found it quite interesting.

I'm all for treating people as individuals and alwalys from a starting point of giving them a chance.....If he does sign, he will have my full support from day one, but if he were to let us down over the issue of being a Mag (like Lee Clarke did), then I would always hold it against him..

HAHA that's brilliant Cest. I was born in Wallsend so would not have to pretend its on my bloody passport. Just happens my dad got a job in Newcastle so they lived in Monkseaton at the time.

    I still chose Sunderland.

Vegas, we sat with 5 lads at Roker for a few years from whitley bay and they ****ing hated the mags with a passion.

They too had fathers who moved with work but who loved the lads.

I bet school days were wonderful for you all. Lol

I read his comments & he said something similar when we were 1st linked to Graham. Proves we shouldnt take Chopra as an example as he as a character is flawed in so many ways.
More than the flack from the fans, how could you look your team mates in the face after a match you deliberately flopped.
The lads get up 4 these games & look forward to it for months.
I think if Graham came he'd be a pro & get on with his job.

I don't trust him and feel he will do okay until the derby games, where he will do a Chopra and then his time and limited popularity here will just plummet.

If he is happy to openly state we are the last team on the planet he'd support and that his heart lies totally with the black-and-whites, with his barcode family pushing him, throwing the derby will be a very easy choice.

This is a complete disaster waiting to unfold and the signing that will split the fans, causing problems with Martin and us for ever.

Mag supporting, Sunderland hating players never work, as when push comes to shove they will **** us over and provide a belly full of laughs for the barcode filth for years.
